Shit show certainly covers half of this thread. What utter maturity our wonderful mod Spencer shows by baiting other users to continue their disagreements and letting the off topic bullshit flourish...and letting those users continue to tell each other to fuck off.

It truly doesnt matter what this "revival" will hold. People are still going to bitch. Outbreak fans are going to be pissed they aren't getting what they wanted. RE2 remake petitioners will complain their game isn't getting proper attention. Some will say how much CVX sucked. Others will say that RE4 is a tit long since milked dry, rancid liquid still being sucked about by bloated parasites. Then you'll have those saying the remastered CVX isn't enough, it should have had more. Then you'll have people bitching that they may have changed something. Then of course you'll have those willing to be anally fisted by the game, tears of joy streaming out their eyes for a week until they go back to saying how much they hate CVX and RE4.

Only thing in this thread that was remotely interesting was the new Mercs scans...but even then Jill and Wesker come as no real surprise.

Well I think this post sums everything up, thread and news alike. Yes, I love Outbreak. Am I disappointed? Sure. Am I surprised? Hell no. XD Capcom doesn't care about Outbreak and never did, so I'm content to play the two games offline and keep my mouth shut for the most part.

As for the news on what IS being released...Meh. I'm just so meh about this. I personally feel re-releasing is not a bad thing, but for these two, two that have had it a lot already, is a bit of a waste...but meh. If they go full out and remake then, good for them. But still meh. No RAGEEEEE from me.

I just hope the HD CV is not just another upscaled clean port with trophy support...

I hope it's a remake like the first game or better, then I can finally hope for remakes of 2 & 3.
I kinda couldn't care less for the RE4 HD version, I already have it for my PC/GC/Wii...but
I'll probably buying it anyway just to experience what RE5 could have at least been or
improved upon. =P

ONE change I would like to see would be an increase in gore in CODE: Veronica.
I know that gore doesn't make the game, but it just seemed really really tame to shoot a zombie in the face with a shotgun to have their cheeks blow off.
Oh, and their walking animations were a bit naff too.

I agree about the gore. Was really toned down for Code dont even think they had the beheading's. I've never seen one.

I read about this yesterday. I'm so HAPPY!!!

This is what I've wanted for a long time (even before Dot made his April Fool's joke). An enhanced version of RE4 with the resolution improved enough so it looks good on a HDTV.
If they remade the game they would change everything and add online co-op but this will be the game I know and love, with better graphics. PERFECT!

I played the hell out of RE4 on GC.
Played it even more on PS2 with all the extra content (even played the Biohazard version a couple of times to see the minor differences).
And I've played through it a few times on the Wii.
Kinda crazy that I'll be playing it again on a 4th different console.

I'm already looking forward to it on PS3!!!

I guess it's strange that this wasn't done sooner...

Code Veronica is a stranger decision. I'll be interested to see how improved it looks. It's my least favorite RE game but I'll play it again. Get Steve's "Bed Wetter" trophy.
I would have much preferred Dead Aim HD, with move support (with the original Gun Survivor as a bonus unlockable game).
