That's alot easier than the approach I was trying to use :
Not that it would have worked, but I've been trying to find the schematics for that PC-PS1 conversion serial connector for a good while now.
I can take pics of the innards of my cdx serial cable if you want, the Pro versions came with the parallel cable instead.

That'd be neat, but you don't have to go out of your way like that. A software approach doesn't help my soldering skills, but it sure does make life easier. Saves me a trip to Radioshack.
I've found data for the PS2 version, but no love for the PS1![]()
