At least I have a bit of experience and I will continue to practice for UMvC3.
I totally agree with you... But online competitiveness it's not an issue for me, because as I've said, I'm not really into online modes with fighting games. Lag issues can pretty much fuck the experience of a great game. Nothing beats a couch versus session. And most of my friends are MK fans, so they are not really into MvC.

Sure! This one at least would be a rental, and if I do buy it, it's gonna be on PS3, free online is such a plus . I love Xbox Live, but with online passes and stuff like that, I feel it's not fair to pay double to actually play online.
If I'm not mistaken, it's not gonna be a full price release (as in 60 US bucks for brand new game), so that makes it more appealing.

Amazon has it up for £25 preorder. I'd get it, but I can get regular MvC3 by Friday for £15, so meh. Haven't played a good fighting game in a while though, so I'll probably check it out. Granted, I know very few of the characters on the Marvel side, as I'm not a comic guy.

Well I would buy MvC3 at that price now, practice the hell out of it and come November trade it in an maybe get 5-10 Euros(?) and get UMvC3.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Can't order it until tonight (Only got £40-odd in my account and I have a £35 preorder set up that hasn't paid out yet) but I should be able to toss in some cash and order it after work.

Last fighting game I played was King of Fighters XII. Worst purchase ever.

^ Did they make that trailer or was someone else? I saw it earlier in the Unity facebook. Of course, it's meant for laughs!

    Interesting read: http://geek.pikimal.com/2011/09/01/n...-mvc3-edition/

Wesker: Slightly less health, air throw knocks you back farther. Besides that he felt the same.

Nemesis: Is a beast. He does a huge amount of damage, has the most health in the game, and is a threat from almost anywhere on the screen. His rocket launcher can whiff on smaller opponents, but is the perfect height to hit jumping opponents in the crotch.

A lot of his normals that look unsafe aren’t, and his reach is two-thirds of the screen with those tentacles. He is the ultimate newbie character, with easy combos and straightforward moves.

His only weakness is his limited mobility, as his dash is worthless. I won’t even call it a dash. Maybe a jaunt or mosey. Without assists or X-Factor he is a goner, but with either of those resources available, he is extremely scary.

    Im liking this.

Shinkiro. What the hell is wrong with Chris's face in Brooks' cover? He looks like a half melted GI Joe. And Vergil...looks like he's aged leather.

Lmao, true story. I'm gonna vote for it anyways just because of that bad ass Nemesis in the center.

Well, we all know Capcom will pick art #1 regardless of what the fans think.

I really don't like either of them...

And the second art is definitely more Marvel-centric.

Shinkiro has done art for Capcom for years, I don't know why they'd go with anyone else his art is always fantastic imo.

    Brook's art makes me lol...

We get both covers, sleeve is reversable. Shinkiro will be the default outer cover. I think it looks better.

    I'm giving UMvC3 a miss, I can't justify a purchase.
