Based on that video Nemesis looks really "bulky" to play as. That is one thing that annoys me about fighting games; it's like the bigger the character, the less agility they have.
Though Sagat in SFIV moved fairly well for a larger character.
I have to admit I'm liking the looks of the new characters, but I still don't think I can warrant myself to pay another $40 for a game I essentially already have. I think I have definitely learned with Capcom games to just wait three months and get the "special" edition.![]()
He's a "slow but powerful" type of character. If used right, he has some of the most damaging combos in the game.
Example (bad quality, but shows some good combos): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP6WM...layer_embedded
Well, a friend of mine who works at Gamestop broke release and just snagged a copy.
Honestly? I had as much fun playing this as I did MvsC3. Is it a rip-off? Yes. Will I get it myself? No.
Still, using characters such as Hawkeye, Dr. Strange, and especially Nemesis was fun as hell, and I'm starting to see numerous more combinations for teams. Seriously, I'm no good at the game in the face of the friends I usually play it with, but I'm very intrigued at the idea of doing training mode w/ Nemmy, because he has some exploitable things such as a sick wall bounce, a low launcher attack, and some scary range.
Rocket Raccoon says "what's this about Raccoon City?" when he's the starting team member against an RE starter opponent, explaining the ending.

I dont see this as a rip-off at all.
I had over 120 hrs of fun with Vanilla, i had my moneys worth with it.
Cant wait to Tuesday and cant wait to FEB 22 to get it with my Vita aswell.
Well, preparing for the change to Ultimate, I've changed my arcade stick setup to try to help improve my game, and increase my control. My Hori stick has 8 buttons, so I decided to shift the attack buttons to the right on the six level buttons, and let the partner buttons be the first too. It doesn't sound like much, but it seems to have made a difference for me. I still have to get used to it though. Kinda have to think about calling in which partner, and sometimes I don't hit the special attack button at the right moment, but I seem to have better control over my characters, and can respond quicker to my opponent on screen.
But as far as my "Ultimate" team. .. I think I'm going to go with Vergil, Jean Grey, and Akuma. Kinda sucks that Jean Grey got her health nerfed, since I don't try to play the Dark Phoenix game(I burn my meter), but I think her projectiles, and manuverbility, provide an excellent counter game to people who spam asist/want to play the ridiculous combo game. But I'm happy to replace Morrigan AND Wesker(although, by changing the control scheme, I fell like I"m not too bad with him now). It'll most likely be up to Vergil and Akuma to win my matches for me. But Vergil looks like a very effective fighter. With him and Akuma, I think they can make up for low-health Jean Grey pretty easily.
Hey, I like a challenge, lol. All about skill. Not saying I'm great or anything, but it's better to win an earnest victory than using a cheap set or combination of characters, even though at the pro level you pretty much don't have a choice, but since everyone I play with, and here, is pretty much a casual, the point is to have fun. But, I am looking for a combination to rip through those online/ranked matches made up of those who always pick a storm/sentinel or whatever, and rely on spamming asist/long combos to get their victories. Wesker/Morrigan/Akuma wasn't doing much for me in that regard. I don't really use any assist in 3, which is kind odd since I do in 2, but whatever.
Besides that, petty concerns such as low health don't concern Akuma in the least. His fist bleed death, after all. He'll serve up 1000x deaths before anyone knows what hits'em.![]()

I've not played since before my old PS3 broke, so a few months now. Not sure who my team will be in Ultimate, I for sure want to give Nemesis a go, I still like Super Skrull so he will be given attention, no idea on the other spot but Dormammu will be played with to see how he is now. Probem with those three is as far as I've seen Nem and Skrull assists not that great.

Haha, its funny. I used Morrigan, Wesker, and Dormammu in MVC3 as well. Looks like I'll be switching out Morrigan and Wesker as well in ultimate, for Nemesis and Ghost Rider.
As for assists. Yeah as Vito said, they're pretty much needed. Morrigan's meter assist is really good, its nearly invincible, and definitely helps meter using characters like Dormammu. Also, Wesker's gun shot assist that otgs is really good for continuing combos.
I think i have my three teams all planned out.
1st one will be Chris/Nemesis/Wesker since both Chris and Wesker got many buffs that i like (Chris can finally OTG on his own now).
2nd one will be Frank/Nemesis/Wesker (i want to try out Frank so bad).
The last one will be my old team from Vanilla that i was practicing Wesker/Doom/Sentinel.
Lets see which one will be my main one for ranked matches.
Hope to have a good lobby with everyone here (god bless spectator mode).
I wonder if Nemesis says STARS even when tagging in Jill and Chris.
All dlc costumes.

About Zero's DLC costume:
Not that I care too much about the Megaman/X/etc. series, but Capcom really is shitting on its fans, isn't it? Basically they granted a wish Calypso style, "you want Megaman? YOU GOT HIM!"
About Spencer's DLC costume:
So, reconsidering purchase of this game, John? I doubt very much the old copy (actually you traded that in, correct?) will be good for the new DLC.
