Default getting back into RE5's Merc after playing RE Mercenaries

I boot up my xbox360 and get back to playing the mercenaries mode of RE5, but my gameplay result was terrible. I find myself having difficulty adjusting back to the control and gameplay style of RE5 after playing RE Mercenaries, such as not being able to reload and run, and not being able to look around while reloading. Also, it seems i have been ambushed more frequently from the back in RE5, which ruins my experience.

However on the plus side, I appreciate the wider area and the destructible environment elements even more. Maybe Capcom should release the patch and add on the improvements from RE Merc on the 3DS onto this game.

Hasn't bothered me much. I got back into it just fine actually~ Still pretty fun for a go-around or two.

Me and Valentinesdead? used to tear Mercs up everyday from hours on end. I believe at one point we were in the top 100 leaderboards for one of the levels.

AFter playings Mercs 3D and trying RE5 Mercs one time after I realise RE5 maps are far too big and the spawning system takes all the fun out of it if trying for a big score.

I haven't even thought about doing that! I bet it will be a pain going back to RE5 Mercs, because moving while reloading is really helpful. Now I want to play RE4 Mercs on the Wii and see if it's still a breeze.

Thats what I think too. RE4 maps are fine but RE5 maps are too large for me to memorize the routes and stuffs. I like the experimental facility stage in RE5 but unfortunately its not in RE Mercenaries. I hope Capcom will release a sequel with double the characters, all stages from RE4 and RE5 and 20~30 more stages.

The touch screen of the 3DS and the removal of the prompt confirming whether you want to pick up an item, really adds on to the experience too. When I return to RE5's merc, there are lots of times where I have to fumble with the inventory to reload my GL or use a FAS.

This. That slight difference can be quite useful when doing a combo. You can move away/dodge enemies for your next shot...

Strangely enough, as useful as moving while reloading is, I almost never use the Y-button strafing.. It's too weird for me.
