Sneak Peek of Ada Wong in Resident Evil 5 movie

Li Bing Bing was confirmed to fill the role of Ada Wong in the next RE movie a couple of days ago, after her co-star Crystal Liu from "Forbidden Kingdom" rejected the role.

Today Milla Jovovich shows off a sneak peek of Li Bing Bing with Ada's haircut (but not in her costume) via her twitter.

I agree with you somewhat. To say she is 'too Asian' is a bit over the top; I mean, at least this version of a character sort of matches who he/she is meant to be.

To me, Ada seems a bit more Asian-American; she doesn't look like someone straight out of Korea/China/Et cetera. Plus, it is almost as if she has blue eyes in Resident Evil 4...I can't quite tell what color they were going for, but it definitely isn't the dark brown that most Asians have.

Meh, I'm not complaining though.

“I was born during the Vietnam war in the Cholon district of Saigon, shortly before the city fell to the Viet-cong. I was the only daughter of a very wealthy overseas Chinese family. For generations, they were landowners who owned huge estates and fruit orchards.”

However, this was in the "Demise of Raccoon City" part, where she was saying this to Leon. Since she didn't actually say this in RE2 in any form, I'm not sure if it's actually considered canon.

Ada's eye color in RE4 is exactly the same color as her hair: black.

The best cutscene to notice that is the one where Leon and Ada first meet in the game. There is a close-up of Ada when she takes off her shades. And you can tell that her eyes are the same color as her hair in that one.

Ppl think her eyes are blue cuz black sometimes looks blue-ish. Depends on the lighting I guess.

And what exactly is the physical difference between a Chinese from China and one who was born in the US? Aside from being taller (or with more meat on the bones), they look pretty much the same. If you're talking about Ada being half this and half that.... she could be from Hong Kong.
