I just want to say thank you to everyone who donated, I feel bad for not giving to the cause, but hell, if RE1.5 gets released the same way without a doubt I'll help! 2012 is without a question the year of Resident Evil.

I'm trying this on my Wii (softmod) and I have to say this quite the feat. I can see why this was scrapped for the DS version, but man, this would've been the killer GBC app in its time!

To be fair, Resident Evil Deadly Silence it's so much better, so it makes sense when you see the whole picture. But if it's comparing REGBC with Gaiden, I totally agree with you.

EDIT: Playing through Jill's scenario, I see the dialog on text and I can totally recall the bad VA from the 1st RE.

Some notes from what I have been playing:

-Yawn doesn't work in his first form, have not met his second form yet...doubt it's any different
-No cerberus crashing from windows or spiders
-Above the dining hall, 2nd floor, the right path is a little glitchy, so go the left side instead (where the statue is)
-During cutscenes, it shows where the secret item is (grandfather clock and fish tank [or now dresser])
-Invisible file which works as a blank item but then shows up in the file part of the inventory in the itchy scratchy room
    -Bazooka, clips, shells, are pointless.
-Stages of health are: Good --> Fine --> Poor --> ??? --> Bad --> Death
-Heartbeat monitor does not change color, stays green, only the word changes.
-After the water bridge, going down the elevator is a 'opening door scene'

    Otherwise, I'm super impressed.

Is there any other ****ing music than this same loop?

Well, while it IS an impressive job, I do think they made the right decision to cancel this game. Its too slow and choppy and the almost infinite loop of music is pretty iffy, I do think that this is an excellent tech demo, rather than a game. The GBC was just too limited to pull this off, not sure if the GBA would have been able to go the distance either.

But even so, I am still really impressed by what they've done.

Wasn't there a famous tech demo of Resident Evil 2 working on the GBA?

Anyhow - this is a great little gem I'm suprised how well it plays actually.

It was a fan-made project from some guy on YouTube.

If you stand in the exact correct spot, you CAN open it if you have the key. The details in the fundraiser are wrong... The game stops in the room before the Plant 42 fight though (Dorm 003). No idea how to get past that...

I like how joysticks negative spin story seemingly gave this the publicity needed for the final push.

Can anyone tell me what I can play these on please? Standard GBC emulator I assume? Any recommended one?

I can't get into the lab. I can't use the damn eagle medal.

You gotta jump around from some rooms.

Use the memory viewer in GBA, search for C17C, and change the number and mess around with it.

Thanks, in Jill's scenario. These are the parts I can't go through:
56 = After putting the Red Book
    1A = The tombstone switch
5A = After putting Eagle and Wolf Stone

The game has no ending, when you get the flare, you can't do nothing with it.

You can enter the laboratory after putting in the eagle and wolf. You go to the middle between wolf / eagle and press a or b or whatever the button is. A door is secretly there lol.

Has anyone gotten passed the login screen?

Oh it's a scrambled keyboard. The first thing you highlight is escape

    ESCAPE A B C D E F G
    H I J K L M N ENTER
    O P Q R S T U ENTER
    V W X Y Z DELETE (press down again for delete)

    First time:

    Login: John
    Pass: Ada

    Second:

    Pass: Mole

    Just like the original!!

I beat it! Although no endings lol
