Was it rated PG-13 in the UK as well? I thought he was making 2 versions. One of the US (PG-13) and another for the UK and EU.

We don't have PG-13.

The closest would be 12 (which can have cutaway gore and occasion sideboob) and 15 (which can have a bit more gore and occasional nipples).

Well my question was if the film will be rated with the equivalent of an PG-13 on the other side of the pond. Considering that many sources said there would be a MAHTOORE (R rated) version for that market.

No idea. Can't seem to find anything but TBA. I know the version of some movies, such as Swordfish which I saw on TV when I was in the States, get pretty heavily censored. Halle Berriy's wearing a bra, no hooker blowjob, etc. Might just be a TV version, though.

I know the rating issue doesn't bother some of you, but it's a huge thing for me it really is.

Tom Rothman, the head of Fox, has confirmed today that absolutely nothing will be cut from the film, and if that results in it being an R, then so be it.

It's turning out to be a beautiful looking film. I love the skull carved into the pyramid. Definitely the unused concept Giger designed for House Harkonnen in Dune.

The interior 'Alien' sets look spot on minus the sinewy, motted texture that was present in the first film. Though perhaps this is a direct result of the Alien itself.
