Ja'avo still aren't really impressing me. The new HUD is starting to really just look awful, just when I thought my mega man joke might have been a little hard, I stand corrected. :/

Well what would you rather Wrath?
Guys with guns who just act like soldiers.
Or guys with guns that mutate into multiple abominations and take a completely different approach to kill, all being dynamic? Depending on how crap you are at the game I can see some people making the Ja avo mini bosses lol, the reactions are gonna be so sweet.
@Det. , Both are legit it seems , so is sherry , i saw it somewhere in a scan i believe , but this one looks Crystal clear and less grainy !
Although did anyone translate the Hud yet ?
The Sherry pic is from the Japanese RE6 website: http://www.capcom.co.jp/bio6/story_jake.html
As is this photo, which I'm pretty sure is Jake's reaction shot to Sherry's super-seriousness. Sorta halfway between "you've got to be kidding me" and "aw hells yeah."

I'd rather they used their own ideas and come up with something new, rather than keep rehashing the damn Ganado concept. Its 3 games now and its gotten so damn old. I dont care what anyone says you blow off an arm, and a mutated appendage reforms in its place. Thats the same concept we had with the Ganadaos from RE4, cept now its not limited to the enemy's head.
I really think they could have come up with something better, I honestly do.
I'm with you. Also, what was wrong with good old fashioned zombies? Not face paced enough for the "action" era is my guess. I like fast zombies, but not ones that carry weapons and communicate. I like when the enemies don't speak.
They lose that much more humanity, you don't have the slightest chance of reasoning with it and it's going to kill you(not by bullets or sharp objects, but by cold dead fingers and gaping maws)and feast on your corpse.
"One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."
Resident Evil - Castlevania - Silent Hill - Onimusha - Tekken
The newer zombies they have might work, they did say not all use weapons but you get a few with pipes, axes, and stuff. But as this is still aimed at the CoD fan base I doubt they'll leave it at that.

Here, we got an example of RE6's zombies:
Notice that the left zombie is jumping to try to fight Jake, while the right one is carrying a rocket launcher. All of this in a perfect Mortal Kombat atmosphere...

It seems that this magazine from Spain, gamesTM, has an exclusive 7 page report on the game.
It says pretty much what was already said before. The Leon segment is close to the original games (but not quite survival horror), the Chris part is focused on heavy action. While the Sherry and Jake scenario is basically a big chase sequence that takes place in Edonia.
It also says that there is a scene in RE6 that is THE best scene in the entire series.... someone dies? Wesker/Barry/Jill/Claire/Rebecca/Billy/Manuela makes a cameo at the end? They won't say.
BTW, Kobayashi defended the action elements in RE6 saying that from the very start of the series, they always wanted to have the big explosions and over-the-top action as a fundamental part of it.
Get hyped?

Ah, fair enough. Hopefully someone dies. God knows this series needs the death of a main character so badly.
That would be the best scene in the entire series.
Kobayashi is full of shit as far as I'm concerned. The fact that he was a programmer on the first 2 games in the series heyday and has been a producer on the weaker RE stuff(Zero, Degeneration, and now Six) but hasn't learned a damn thing about what actually made the series good is a bad sign.
Dark atmosphere, clasutrophobic areas, heavy background music, and being surrounded by the unknown were some of the best traits in the RE series.
Now its all open areas in the middle of a bright and sunny day being surrounded by enemies that are all slaves for a maniacal lunatic who wants to take over the world.
If they wanted the over the top bullshit action that they claim too, then Resident Evil 3,Code Veronica, REmake and Zero would have all been more like RE4, rather than like the first two PS games.
They're just camping on the live action movie coat tails now for more money, because they don't give a fuck. Its already been proved that you can make a mediocre RE game now and a long as its a little flashy and is called 'Resident Evil', they aren't gonna lose a dime.

Weaker stuff? Oh, you mean BH3, BH4 and REmake and all of the best supplemental material in the series? Okay.Kobayashi is full of shit as far as I'm concerned. Over-the-top action could not be included in most games due to technical limitations. You can see right from the opening of CODE:Veronica exactly what style they were going for as the tech improved. Lets not forget the fact that superhumans have been a pivotal plot point since BH2, and technically BH1. Why are you using the description for BH5 in relation to BH6, which is set primarily at night?Dark atmosphere, clasutrophobic areas, heavy background music, and being surrounded by the unknown were some of the best traits in the RE series.

No, they're not camping on the movies. The fact that this is the go-to excuse for so many people just demonstrates how limited their knowledge on the series' history actually is. Thinking you know more than the people who make the damn games is a sign of arrogance, nothing more.

PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium
Their struggle for existence is over for the time being. But a sin violating sanctuary isn't forgiven. This is not just an end. This is the end of a beginning.
