    Few thoughts so far;

-Love the new running/dodging mechanics, but took a while to get used to them
-Love the fact that contextual environment stuff is automatic whilst running (Like free running in Assassin's Creed, basically)
-Camera is a bit shaky on default, but can fortunately be adjusted in settings to be slightly more stiff
-Aim seems to misbehave a bit during "LOOK HERE" moments (likely to be fixed in final, I suppose)
-Wish they'd take away camera control from the player in more scenes (especially like the running sequence with Jake/Sherry), as camera movement seems to interrupt other actions and also alter movement direction.
    -Like the story cutscenes
-Leon's demo segment is a bit too fucking dark, though or the flashlight should've had a wider spread for its light (+again; camera is all over the place thanks to being affected by stick, objects around you and partner. Also, headmountet flashlight misbehaves by following camera and not character's head movement)
-Chris' demo segment could need some more light. Love how it's a good playground for testing out new functions, though.
-Jake's segment was nice enough. Would've probably loved it more if there wasn't shit all over the place during the boss fight (Yeah, yeah, he can clean it out for you. I know.)
-RE: Light - Adjusting brightness/contrast settings is not a viable option, as it'll still wash out the colors.
-No split-screen co-op this time around?

Anyone found any emblems, by the way?
Seems like there's at least a couple of them snucked away in the demo areas.

I only found one while playing as Sherry, but apparently there's at least one other while playing as Pierce.

I found one above the bathroom in Jake/Sherry's scenario (Get Jake to lift Sherry up to reach it)
I also found one in Leon's scenario in the area where you first meet the father of the girl (Actually wondering if there might be TWO, but I couldn't hear a sound from what I thougth was one, so maybe just a blue plate on the floor or something)

Where do you get the one as Piers? The segment where you cover Chris as he's climbing around?

There is splitscreen, or at least that's what the Capcom Unity dude mentioned.

Camera is complete shit. While making it a little more stiff definitely helps, I have no idea how CAPCOM thought making it this close to the character would be intuitive. It is really mind-boggling.

I'm really not liking the camera. It's too close to the characters and just something feels off when you're swinging it around... like it's disorienting. It's not the speed of the camera's movement, either, because I turned that way down before I even started.

I prefer a system where the camera is locked behind the character like in 4 and 5 but lets you rotate the camera completely around the character on the x axis. I don't think the y axis movement is necessary outside of aiming mode.

I really hope that "demo" implies that many of the things people are concerned about may get fixed.

I don't know what to think at the minute. I think they've done a good job with the character selection, six characters spread across three scenarios is just what the game needs to feel fleshed out and keep the experience fresh. I also really like the cutscenes, I think the story has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see how the three scenarios intertwine with each other. However I have huge problems with the control scheme, and yes you can tweak a few settings like invert and sensitivity, but movement controls feel very stiff and floaty, they're no where near as fluid as the camera controls, the balance just feels really off. Also I too hate the over the shoulder camera, it's too close in for my liking it takes up a lot of the screen I find my self wanting to lean round just to see a lot of the time, and you can change the shoulder camera from left shoulder to right shoulder but I'd really like them to add a near and far camera, the environments would be a lot more enjoyable that way. And a real time menu system? Lol. Overall I'm in two minds, I deffinately like it better than RE5 solely because you can move while aiming, but the game still has some problems I disagree with, such as it being too action orientated, which is fine Capcom want to do that, but there's a lot of things Capcom can do with the control scheme to make that a more enjoyable horror experience.

Too many machine guns for my liking in Chris' scenario, but he is the weapons guy so it's to be expected. A little bit of each style for everyone I guess.

This is kind of off-topic, but I've been thinking for years that what RE really needs in an honest-to-God convergent storyline, with characters starting out in different locations and eventually coming together. I even wrote about that idea on a now-defunct RE fan forum and I'm just really happy to see it finally happening.

Except shit. When it comes to game controls there's a sweet spot that some developers magically achieve that others can't. While Naughty Dog and Capcom are using the same mechanics, Uncharted felt good to control... this doesn't.

I still like the demo overall, but something needs to be done about the camera/controls. The thing is, I don't know what they need to fix...

Well for me I think they need to make controls on the left analog more responsive. I get the felling they made the controls stiff to accommodate character animations. I really don't mid it when character animations are a bit twitchy as long as the controls are fluid, because right now it takes far too long to run in a circle.

One thing I really like is the theme tune on the title screen.

Really need to tinker with the settings a bit (hopefully they tweak a better "default" setting for the full version)

Game pretty much plays like some strange hybrid between Lost Planet 2 and Vanquish.

Well Capcom Unity needs to get some major feedback if people want things to change and hope they send that feedback to the right department, can't sit back and hope Capcom can read your minds.

Controls felt better suited to Jake, his running and dodging from a big bad guy lessens the visual need the other characters have, the final section of Chris is a great example of when the camera fails, you really need be visually aware a full 360 around you. If this game has a RE5 Professional level of damage is gonna be murder.

So after playing the demo multiple times and messing around with all the settings, I figured I'd post my impressions.

The game is good, so far I think I like Jake's the most honestly, then Chris, then Leon. Leon's I'm sure I would of liked more if his wasn't 90% walking around doing absolutely nothing. I get why they would have it (zomg its not horror!!!) but I wish there was more combat like in the last 10% with the zombies. The controls take a bit of getting used to, and both me and a friend found them very strange at first. I wouldn't necessarily say they're bad, just very... weird. I think "loose" might be a better term.

Jake is fun with his melee although I'm not entirely sure how his works yet. It seems like you can chain multiple hits together but so far I'm still attempting to get him down. The Ustanak is pretty cool. Chris's section is honesty pretty good too. The cutscene before hand is weird though. Why does he not even remember what Bio-terrorism is? Common Chris, even if you're drunk, you gotta remember that.

I was messing around with the options and I gotta say, all the different customization options is pretty cool. Love how you can change the laser sight color now. One complaint I have though. There's an option that's called "Turn in game hints on/off." Now I turned this off originally to get rid of the way point marker (which I dread), but I soon found out that with this turned off, my HUD no longer shows when I aim. This is kind of a problem since half the time, with it off, I can't even tell what my health is/or my ammo. I have to manually press LB to get it to pop back up for a minute, but its more annoying than anything. I hope they fix this little issue in the final game and have an option to keep it popping up normally but turn the markers off.

Overall though, I'm enjoying the demo. Exploring every nook and cranny. Also, I love the main menu. The dark purple ominous alleyways with shadows of creatures depending on who you pick. Very eerie and I love it.

I dislike how you can examine pretty much nothing. FOr Leon this would have been especially nice since you do F-all for most the demo, I walked into that room with books and presumed you could read them, especially as one appears shiny, but nope. Cannot even examine them.
