I'm just going to keep reminding myself that the game isn't finished yet. The bulk of what we've seen has been cutscenes and promo artwork.

That said, I think a lot of people are going to be unhappy come October. Here's some early hands-on impressions: http://www.relyonhorror.com/latest-n...t-the-fanbase/

    So basically: great game.

Their struggle for existence is over for the time being. But a sin violating sanctuary isn't forgiven. This is not just an end. This is the end of a beginning.

So like they said, you lure the new 'Nemesis' to strategically placed red barrels which is ground breaking. A convoluted back story that you'll want to skip past. Controls that felt good and not like a Resident Evil game.

So yes, great game from the looks of it. I'm excited. If IGN is happy with it then I'm sure I'll be as well. They haven't steered me wrong before.

I always hate that - 'We've decided this is fun. If you believe otherwise you are clearly an idiot.' I know some old school fans want the old camera angles and tank controls back, but a lot of us just want scary to return rather than scary done by Micahel Bay. 'Hey, there's some bad guys and then everything explodes. Explosions all the time are scary, right? If they keep going off right next to you?' Which is currently my main objection to what we saw of Leon's Campaign...

This preview is basically downplaying old classic fans at a over reactive amount, we might love our classic RE but most of uswelcome these new gameplay features and boy do they look great.

Leon's campaign looks to be the scariest yet though. Can you imagine running from an explosion? That sounds heart pounding.

Erg, so Chris starts the game, drunk and depressed lol.

It's like they are fucking continuing from the live action Resident Evil 5 commercials.

I actually liked those commercials. 'Being in a massively traumatizing incident having psychological fallout? YE GADS!'

That was confirmed a few months ago. He is depressed after he lost his entire team in Edonia.

I'd love to see how others would handle their team that they take into missions and seeing them die by grizzly deaths. If me or you guys seen that we would probably never get out of the hole we would be in.

Leon's campaign is "scarier" than BH4 and BH5 combined, that much is obvious from what little we've already seen. The entire game has a much darker atmosphere. Not that big on the cinematic, over-the-top stuff, but despite seeming out of place it's all done really well. Just seems like Sequel Syndrome where everything has to be bigger, badder and ballsier, which is precisely what the series has done with each new title. Don't get why people are suddenly so shocked now, apart from the fact that some people aren't happy without something to bitch about.

I'd be ecstatic if I had nothing to bitch about.

But bar the intro to Leon's campaign, in the hotel, it doesn't sound terribly tense. It sounds more like every few minutes everything regularly explodes. It doesn't look as bad as RE5, but it doesn't look good enough for me to change my 'second hand only' policy either.

Then again, I remember when people were explaining why RE5 would be awesome too...
