Animations tend to be over dramatic in most games, to add interest, it sometimes looks chessy but it also gives them character.

Like I said though I'm optimistic for RE6 the gameplay in that video looked promising but cliche is cliche you know, red barrells, tedious cutscenes with "What do we have here?- Leon" in attendance
A snippet from Destructoids' hands-on with Chris' scenario opening:
It took me a minute or two to recognize Chris Redfield. In fact, it wasn't until Piers Nivans, a BSAA agent that was sent to retrieve Chris from his hiatus in Eastern Europe, began talking to him that it clicked for me. Chris had been drinking, and in calling for another round, the bartender cut him off. He was kicked out of the bar, but refused to leave.
This being a seedy bar, things got rough, almost escalating into a fight. Piers stopped it, though. He had been searching for Chris for six months, and though he was disappointed by his drunken state, he did not intend to back down. He insisted that Chris belonged at the BSAA, and was needed. It turned out that nearly everyone in the bar was also a BSAA agent, and they were all there to bring him back home -- by force, if needed.
Sounds greatthe stories all seem much more interactive and deep this time around.
Well that BOW will be chasing us for quite a while, so I expect we will get more to it then red barrels. It's like this IGN guy is acting like Gears of War actually did something unigue, the general mindset about Japanese developers these days is disgusting from the media. To them Halo is actually doing something new when it really has not changed at all over the years.

Their struggle for existence is over for the time being. But a sin violating sanctuary isn't forgiven. This is not just an end. This is the end of a beginning.
Ok I'm sold. Just watched both Leon (University) and Jake's snippets. Damn RE6 you are one sexy mofo. Have to see more of Chris' scenario.

Wow, the gameplay looks fantastic.
And I'm really liking the sound of how Chris's scenario opens.
This is really cool:

The mutated legs of a spider and still they can aim and shoot, if these guys can regenerate it would be the ultimate soldier.
Just watched todays videos and my thoughts are abit better today. Yesterday I wasnt at all impressed by what I saw and I still cant say im impressed but I do feel a little bit warmer towards the game. I dont know where all this talk of atmosphere has come from? Apart from the opening section with Leon which WAS pretty damn good the rest has been run and gun action. Jakes gameplay looks better than I imagined so thats a relief.
Just want to say about that IGN idiot what the hell is his problem? He actually said at one point 'You can skip the story which helps' WTF?? Why is this asshole even reviewing the game he clearly doesnt give a shit or have any idea wtf he is talking about. 'Ohh old school fans can suck it' What a gimpy cheeky little bastard. Why is everyone at IGN such a bunch of knobheads. Is that what qualifys for a good reviewer now? Can you imagine that in Empire movie magazine reviews. 'The new Star Wars is awesome and if the old school dont like it then they can fuck off!' Cheeky fucking rat.
Someone will want to kill me for saying this, but...from what I've seen so far...the graphics, the varied gameplay, the voice acting, the soundtrack, all of it...this is a serious, SERIOUS potential "Game of The Year" contender right now.
Tell us everything.Smiley
IT HAS EVERYTHING...
Needs more loading screens with slow doors opening. Would also prefer loading screens of FPV of walking up and down stairs.
I don't know if this has been posted or not so don't sue me but the nohopeleft.com site has been updated in the past few days.

I don't think it's about being "scared." Many of us are adults, so we're obviously not going to go hide under the bed from anything we've seen in a game. But it is about being made uncomfortable; about not knowing if what lurks around the corner is an empty corridor or an unfathomable creature aiming for your head with its claws in mid-lunge. The original games were great at producing a creepy atmosphere and making the player feel vulnerable. RE4 had some of this; RE5 had almost none. From what I've seen thus far, RE6 is on track to be exactly like RE5, but with better atmosphere.
If I want cinematic horror, I'll watch a movie. I play games for the gameplay.
I like it, too. It paints a more realistic picture of a character who (aside from one appearance) I've always found exceedingly boring. Although you may not be able to tell so by the stunts they perform, Chris and Leon are supposed to be human. I like that they're trying to show that fact.
Agreed. As much as RE4 is hated amongst many die-hard fans of the series, I don't think Capcom will ever be able to recreate the atmosphere of the village.
Of course, this is only what we've seen so far. My biggest fear is that the game will be extremely environmentally linear (even more so than RE5, if that's possible). I have no interest in linear, point A-to-point B games. Exploration is critical, and the introduction of co-op to the series seems to have pretty much killed it. Do people actually like games where moving from one arena to the next via a linear corridor is the norm?!
If I want a bunch of cinematic sequences with lots of running and explosions, I'll watch a movie. I play games for the gameplay.
I think they're just trying to make it more realistic, perhaps by answering the age-old question of how the herbs are actually administered. From Jake's demo it is evident that you still pick up herbs in the environment; how they become health tablets is anyone's guess.
To me the guy was just trying to say that the game will appeal to those who know little or nothing about the story of the previous games. Sure, he could have just said what I just said, but remember that the criteria for being hired at IGN is an IQ lower than 70.
Mass production? Ridiculous!
Chris demo posted by Gametrailers, includes his opening:

Opening looks great. We'll finally get to see the Chris Redfield that would get kicked out of the air force and punch a man for spilling coffee on him.
It's sad though. He saves the world multiple times, and the bartender can't let him have one for the road?
