I feel very ambivalent about the driving sequences. I think they're a good thing in small doses, just like QTEs, but it looks like we're getting a lot of them.

Maybe we'll get lucky and its only 1 sequence per character and the sequence itself is just a 1-2 minute scenario?
I just like the idea of something more personal being the cause of Chris' descent into a bottle. Afterall, the loss of yet another team seems paltry, he found the corpses of his friends from Alpha and Bravo team, endured the horrors of countless reanimated corpses and monsters and the events of RE5 it's a little blunt but I'd imagine he'd be desensitised to death. The loss of another team . . . is that really enough after all this time? The death of Claire (or Jill) is far more personal to him, and would take a much greater toll on him. With Capcom and the mediocre writing they and most game developers excel at I know it's expecting too much to see a ballsy move but again the lack of Claire when Sherry returns, who was so prevalent in her scenario in RE2, just seems like a missed opportunity at the very least. Capcom have skirted by this idea before with RE5 and even Slant6 went with it for ORC so they've probably had their fill. I know I'll no doubt be wrong, I actually don't mind if I am but I see no harm in speculating. With all the ideas they've put into the gameplay can't they try something bold with the plot?
hell maybe he drinks to numb the constant pain in his hand from punching that damn boulder . . .
More speculation, but...What if he and Jill did get married and they had a kid...but the newborn was a mutant? Jill still has some 'T' in her body.

She doesnt? Thought there was a file in RE5 that said she had some dormant 'T' still in her system?
Just saw my first RE6 commercial on network television. Could've sworn I saw some video I haven't seen before... hrm...
It also states it disappeared but left behind anti-bodies. She should be immune to the T-Virus and in theory some other progenitor based viruses.
As to this Chris thing with trauma, I'm not sure how believable it is meant to be, given how much he has gone through already having him now suddeny develop these issues is kind of pulling a Metroid Other M moment against Ridley.
Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."
I'm actually translating that file now, incidentally. Here's what it actually says.
However, her story wasn't over yet.
She, who disappeared beneath the cliff, was rescued by Wesker.
Wesker, who rescued Jill, continued simply keeping her alive in a frozen sleep state.
When the "Uroboros Project" was completed, he planned to use her as the first test subject.
This was Wesker's modest revenge.
However, the situation sided with Jill.
The sensors supervising Jill's life reactions detected abnormal values.
Something was happening in her body, attracting Wesker's interest again.
As a result of inspection, the existence of a t-Virus, which had mutated inside her body, was confirmed.
It was a remnant of the t-Virus she was once infected with in Raccoon City.
The t-Virus was not necessarily completely expelled with the vaccine, and it lay hidden deep within her and had continued growing.
In her long-term frozen sleep, it rejuvenated and surfaced.
And soon, the t-Virus disappeared.
But something also remained.
A strong virus antibody was discovered in her body.
After continuing to allow the t-Virus to incubate within her body for many years, it produced a self-defense capability for her - it could be called a miracle.
And this fact delighted Wesker.t-Virus immunity has no effect on Progenitor-based viruses. Almost all of the viruses are very unique, and resistance to one does not provide resistance to another. It also states it disappeared but left behind anti-bodies. She should be immune to the T-Virus and in theory some other progenitor based viruses.

Sounds great, a dark blizzard environment, I know we will most likely see a lot of that in Dead Space 3 but mixing it up in RE6 is what I wanna see.
The perfect tagline for that sequence: "Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come."
Except it's not. Please don't talk shit.
There are lots of different t-Viruses, both mutations and completely different viruses altogether, and not much is known about the t-Vaccine. It's something we won't know until we get an interview with the writers. It's a simple fact.
A virus would have to be similar for resistance to one to provide resistance to another. Simply being based on Progenitor is not enough. I suggest you actually do some reading on viruses. So far, only mutations of single viruses will have a carry-over effect from resistance, and even then, it's not that effective:
This is also a primary reason why the t-Vaccine's effectiveness is called into question. If a virus can mutate so readily in the wild and completely invalidate its anitbodies, there is nothing stopping it from mutating and invalidating its vaccine. It's the same principle as influenza. Incidentally the most common influenza vaccine (TIV - trivalent influenza vaccine) contains purified and inactivated antigens against three viral strains. This is the most likely principle behind the t-Vaccine, not your laughable "one virus fits all".July 29
As the decline in function increases, so does the large amount of processing. The contamination level has increased and the viral antibodies cannot correspond to the new strain. Workers have become infected.

Not me. It's a Matt Groening quote.
Anybody else getting Metal Gear Solid vibes from the Edonia campaign?
