I got weak, I watched the new trailer. I don't think there really is anymore spoilers in there than what's been released, but I'd say anyone avoiding them should still very much avoid though. Still awesome sauce. Rumor is it may actually be the final launch trailer anyway which is why it hasn't yet been posted.

That would be good if true. To be honest still though I'd hate to think another trailer is coming at launch (or at TGS), but as we've all mentioned time and time again, you just need to look at the history of RE5 to see otherwise. Maybe one more at TGS will also double as the launch instead. I'd rather not two more trailers even if the game is as massive as they say. :p

Since we're on the subject of Jake, I know this is probably something stupid or ignorable,
but I just realized the katakana for both Jake's last name and Greg Müller of Outbreak, is exactly the same.
Silly coincidence perhaps? The guy was known for developing a technique for inducing specific amnesia after all.

If there is a connection, it might led some support to an earlier theory I had about Jake - that he's the results of a breeding experiment and he was "rescued" at birth (i.e. kidnapped) and raised by a sympathetic Umbrella scientist. So the woman he calls mom isn't even his mother. Heck, he might not technically have a mom. It's a long shot, I know.

Well another thing to consider is that Eiichiro Sasaki is the one directing RE6, and the only other Resident Evil games he's been a director for
as far as I know were both Outbreaks. I don't know if any of the writers have been carried over from that as well; I'd need to find the cracked demo
data file again and see if it lists them in the credits.

Yeah, it would be really nice if they tied things back into other characters/events instead of being all "And here's something totally new to process!"

Watch your tongue, Shield key! You know that you'd do the same at the slightest opportunity... It is nearly impossible to do otherwise. Now all I can do is try to keep the whole plot from being spoiled while waiting for the PC version; I'll be diving into Fallout 3 whilst the dust clouds settle from the RE6 console launch.

Oh man, that looks perfect for the weather where I live (San Francisco, where it is always 60 degrees and breezy). It even has the La Vita Nuova patch! Never mind that the patch Spoiler:

is likely going the way of Leon's RE4 jacket. It looks like Jake rips the patch off not long into his Edonia scenario.

Dammit... The eventual PC release had better be the Gold Edition, or else I'll be forced to wait for it. I got burned with RE5 that way, and have yet to justify buying the Gold version.
