PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium
Their struggle for existence is over for the time being. But a sin violating sanctuary isn't forgiven. This is not just an end. This is the end of a beginning.
What was that image I found...oh yes.

Oh look, a bunch of totally random posts I have no reason at all to give off topic infractions for by people I get constant complaints about such things.
How about we stay on topic and post pictures relevant to said topic, guys?
ign has said that this guy isnt Alex Wesker but is actually called Derek Simmons

I actually hope they are right. Alex should appear too though but not get killed.
Alex shouldn't appear because The Wesker Children wasn't all that great to begin with, and the bulk of his character was written in DLC. Having one Wesker per game is more than enough.
What does it matter whether it was written in DLC or not? The DLC is part of the storyline and CAPCOM consider it just as vital as the main story, otherwise they wouldn't have decided to leave it on a cliffhanger with extremely heavy implications on the overall series, then hype it up in Archives II. I personally really liked the Wesker children plot, and still think it was one of the better elements of BH5's storyline. Your opinion does not decide what should and should not be featured in the games.
Derek Simmons isn't "a" National Security Adviser, he is "the" National Security Adviser. It's an actual post in the U.S. Government.
Also, the fake comments on the "Family" e-mail on the NoHopeLeft viral pretty much outright state that a secret government organization is involved in the story. Simmons will likely be part of that. When he quickly flashes up in the trailer, so does the shot of President Benford from the first trailer. Cousin Simmons?

Well thats dissapointing. Although I always did prefer Albert when he was a behind the scenes kinda guy and Alex hasnt even been seen by anyone as of yet so I like the fact that he is an enigma lets hope he just plays some role even if we dont actually see him just hear of him.
So it IS the Cigarette Smoking Man!

Can I just say that I'm relieved it's not Alex Wesker? As much as it reminds me of MGS, I'd rather have a government conspiracy than the return of the Wesker Children subplot.
