Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."
Thanks for the info, CrimsonElder.
But am I the only one who is seriously disheartened at a lot of this new info?
Spoiler:
I've always liked the stories in RE (even some of the more recent ones). But to me, gameplay comes first and foremost. If "Ada" turns out to be a clone, I can forgive it if the gameplay is excellent. But it just doesn't seem to be heading in that direction. A game can have the most interesting plot in the world, but if the gameplay sucks, the game itself sucks. Actual gameplay is what differentiates video games from passive entertainment like movies and television. Developers these days seem to forget that fact.

Mass production? Ridiculous!
Theres a time when its necessary to hit the reboot switch, Mortal Kombat did it and actually pulled it off quite well.
I think that RE is ready to do it too. Lets face it, after this games story, which features a world wide outbreak, where else is there to go?
Space? Didn't work out for Dino Crisis.
If they did re-boot at least they have a chance to make a more coherent storyline, go back to the original survival horror concept more and expand upon existing material. Like the REmake and original game.
Course this IS Capcom, and they put sales ahead of the fan base nine times out of ten, but still in all honesty after a world wide outbreak..where else is there to go?
We gonna end up with the shitty T-virus has destroyed the world concept like in the films? Because if the CoD fan base thats invaded the RE sales gets its way, that's the end result. It has the most opportunities for 'Shoot this!' and only a minimal of effort story and setting wise.

Small-scale games focusing more on experimenting with horror in a fictional universe which is rich and diverse and offers many, many opportunities for new situations and storylines. After BH6, there literally are no standing plot threads left to tie-up. The only remaining plot thread in the series storyline is Ada and her organization, both of which appear to finally be getting cleared up in BH6.Lets face it, after this games story, which features a world wide outbreak, where else is there to go?
I would not mind if they started toning down the scale of the series (no more Hollywood-scale shit please) and focus on trying to make interesting, unique games that actually focus more on horror. Probably won't happen, but a man can dream.

Yup. Small contained stories would be nice. Either as prequels or post RE6...
I know this might sound crappy, but I wouldn't mind a prequel about how Progenitor was discovered/developed and Umbrella was founded (there are files and info about that, but an actual game would be nice), in 1960's-1970's... No superhuman, uberwarfare shit, basic technology and weaponry, that I would like to see. RE7 would be all about space alien zombies if the trend continues like this.

Yes, RE6 is going to be a big blow-out affair. Pearls clutched, fainting couches in place. Can we set the nerd rage aside and enjoy it for what it is? This isn't a "reboot" per se. Maybe it's more like a pivot. They're trying to unify everything that's happened up to this point and take the main storylines to completion, and then we can go from there.
Manuela is beautiful ! Yes i aswell would like to see her again![]()
She's ready... Even Leon was impressed.
*Image below might be a potential spoiler for those that haven't played the game and are looking to buy the HD Chronicle collection...
Spoiler:
...but let's have Wesker make a cameo near the end of RE6 and it all shall become like the fantastic Four.
Exciting! Right?

Okay can I just take a minute here and say I am LOVING the C-Virus so far, closet thing we have had to the G Virus and I do love my mutations in Resi, heres the scan showing a small example of the dynamic mutation in the enemies. So even if the enemies can still use guns they will still have that monster side to them which to me is a nice compensation.

I bet you that at the end of RE6:
Spoiler:
They basically said: she won't. Unless the government has spare organs lying around. But since she was able to retain her will under the influence of the virus (like Steve), it's unlikely they'll let her die as she is important to developing countermeasures against t-Veronica.One thing I don't get is that they never explained how she would have survived in government custody
