You can sell guns in RE5s system.

I said it was functional.

But it lacks the psychological boost of actually having the merchant there, peddling his wares. And who knows how to kiss ass.

Sometimes after a gun fight or storming a castle, you need some of that "human/ganado touch".

No, he really loves all action, all the time, team based games. We're not quite sure how he ever coped with the older RE games and the fact you go several minutes, sometimes, without killing anything.

Whats wrong with enjoying the turn resident evil took back with re 4 ?
yeah i love the old re games ( its because of them i got into resident evil afterall) but whats wrong with enjoying what we get now ?
im just happy to get more resident evil an yeah i enjoy playing re with other people online ( so im happy we get coop) i enjoy that.

sometimes you guys act like the action fans stuck in the 80s action movies ( that time has past) only old school only old school
but i dont see the point in sticking around if anything capcom releases now you are all against so whats the point ? only to bitch ? whats the fun in that ?
at the end of the day its a fight you cant win capcom wants this call of duty/ dead space/ action coop.. and you cant do anything about it. thats just how it is now.

Because we like horror. RE4, RE5 and ORC all had horror elements, and crapped all over them with action. Since we're free to hope for a return to more horror, less action gameplay, we can say that.

Well you had abit of horror in the 3ds game an leons part in re 6 ( will be the most horror out of all the campains)
Its not anything like it use to be but its a start..

Depends - RE5 tried to convince me it was gonna be scary too, and I was right to think that was a lie. Leon's section looks like a big improvement so far, but it'll depend on exactly what they do.

Alright i do agree with you on capcom and the fake marketing fear you cant forget or whatever they used as slogan back then
i do think they overacted abit to much about re 5 been a horror game.. but yeah again i did enjoy the game overall
but if you ever asked me ...do i want the old plan.. they had in store for re 5 or the coop one .. i would have gone with the old idea.....

Unfortunately, it would be very difficult to implement a merchant system in RE6 due to the bullshit mainstream co-op that they just have to include in the game. Co-op ruined RE5's single-player experience (which is in my opinion how an RE game should be played), and I don't think it will be much different with RE6.

If I have to babysit the AI to make sure that they don't die in single-player, there's no way I'm buying RE6.

Its not anything like it use to be but its a start..

I don't think a title for a portable system and 1/3 of a game with horror bits compensate for 3 action packed games.
