Since this game takes place before 5, I fully expect to see a cameo of either Albert Wesker or Jill.
Also, I am betting that the main antagonist is Ada. She is called the "Bitch in the red dress" after all. Really, only Leon seems to even hold any affection for her. She's an interesting character, but the whole "Mouse and cat" flirting game she plays with Leon is getting boring. I'm hoping to see her real death, with Leon or Chris delivering the blow.

No it wasn't...yet. But Famitsu said RE6 is set OVER 10 years after Raccoon City incident so there is still hope it is sequel.

I don't buy it being set before Resident Evil 5 at all. There's no logistical reason to, it's complete bullshit if that's the case.

That's the only thing i'm really concerned about with regards to the story - so I hope it gets clarified soon. Resident Evil numbered games have generally gone in sequence and not fit in anywhere else, I don't see this any different.

(Before any screams at me I'm well aware the first of Resident Evil 3 takes place before Resident Evil 2).

I agree. What the hell is the point of making a game before a game, if it isn't a flip side of things, in the case of RE2/RE3?

Rewatching the trailer I really must ask the question again - Does Leon have a new voice actor because moments really don't sound like Mercier at all. They must be surely using his ORC voice actor now?

It sounds like Mercier, and yet, it doesn't. Strange. I hope it is Mercier. He's one of my favorite voice actors in the series.

The only thing I can think of is based on his new rougher appearence whether he's been asked to make his voice sound rougher to match. The years of fighting bio weapons and looking after Ashley clearly taking its toll on Leon.

It will - it kinda has to in a sense, because Chris looks like he's fighting Ganado/Majini in his sections, and if he is - it HAS to be after Resident Evil 5 - because in that he calls HQ and tells them - the people, "They're acting like those Ganado's detailed in the Kennedy Report".

I don't think the armed enemies Chris is fighting are infected. I think they're just humans; bio-terrorists I'd suspect, although some of them have outfitted themselves with some BOW-upgrades (like the one that can snatch Chris from out behind cover).

Leon is not voiced by Paul Mercier in this game, unfortunately.

Heck, it doesn't even sound like the same guy they got to voice him in Operation: Raccoon City (I think the guy's name is Dave Wittenburg or something like that). Assuming Damnation is still happening, I wonder who will be voicing him in that.

Fucking Capcom... With Degen, 5, and the DS Chronicles they had the best ensemble cast for whole series.

Let me list it you folks:

Patrica Lee: Jill
Roger Craig Smith: Chris
Paul Mercier: Leon
Alyson Court: Claire
DC Douglass: Wesker
Sally Cahill: Ada

These people turned in the best performances of the characters we'd ever had, and I said during my write up of Darkside, don't fuck it up Capcom by recasting them when you've nailed your cast.

Since then we've had Jill recast, and now Leon. Consistency is so far out of Capcom's aim these days it's fucking untrue.

The fans... WE... deserve more than this.

Their sources were 100% right about RE6 few hours before official announcement.
