Shitty FPS - now set in the slightly near future. Pretend we've done something significant to the gameplay.

And now, thanks to the new footage of RE6, I'm a little antsy about his scenario (and the gameplay itself, which moved so damn quickly it was hard to keep pace).

Quick run down:

Leon and Helena in China.

Hunnigan conversations happen in real time.

Shooting and throwing grenades at zombies.

A helicopter crashes in a building and falls.

QTE of Leon running away from the aftermath of the blast and jumping in another chopper with Helena. The BSAA members on board the chopper die/become infected.

Chopper crashes.

Leon and Helena are surrounded by zombies.

Cut quirky line from Leon.

So it's possible that the section of Leon's campaign in Tall Oaks is more suspense and horror then turns more actiony once he gets to China?

Just like Uncharted, they show the real epic scenes at the conferences, don't let this worry you guys about the rest of RE6.

Also, what does the RE6 dev team have against China? All three scenarios are going to wreck that city. I mean, not like China doesn't have hundreds more with millions of people apiece, but STILL.

It's at least good to know that Leon is still Leon in terms of personality. I wish we'd get a voice actor confirmation though.

Also good to know this part was in China (and not Tall Oaks) as that gives me hope that at least some part might retain proper horror atmosphere.

Seriously though, I hope the bulk of the game isn't going to be OMG PRESS X. I'm fine with a few QTE's. They were used to great effect in RE4. I just hope we're able to freely explore for much of the game too.

Does Leon have a forearm tattoo, or is that a scrape/dirt?

Helena looks like a Claire rip-off. There, I said it.

I think some fans will suffer from the not liking the new and fresh take on the gameplay, it's almost like a defense mechanism that we all sometimes suffer from.

Another important thing to remember is the game is not finished yet. We're only seeing Capcom's idea of highlights, which are mostly cutscenes and QTEs, and not a lot of actual gameplay.

On the plus side, Helena as a co-op partner did seem like a nonfactor, so maybe this won't be a repeat of RE5's disastrous "innovation" or whatever nonsense Takeuchi thought he was peddling back in '09.
