lol skunky i love how you got your type 2 etc for under $20 odd and i had to folk out over £100 to get mine , i must say you have a very unique glass cab, i like it very much. I think i'm having bad luck or something with r.e figures of late, as i've tried getting ahold of the big bundles, where you get a series or two in one lot, or a seller on ebay is offering 9 figures in one go. I alwasy get outbidded by $1, even when i bid with 30secs to go. Thats 6 times in a row this week and i feel unlucky. i guess the only gd thing is that i've saved a bit of cash but still I must ask, are those dragon r.e claire and chris any gd, as they look like dolls and i really don't like dolls, or are they like real statues? I also must admit i've never seen that william in that kinda box before,i would say its fake but then again i've never known a fake before, except the bloody ganado from r.e 4.

The Dragon Chris and Claire are dolls. I'm not sure about their posability, because I haven't opened my set. Planning to keep them sealed.

I'm not sure about the William G2. I sincerely doubt it's a fake, simply because when people make fakes, they tend to make a few of them. The paint job is pretty good too (on par with the other Moby Dicks, which isn't that great, but not the worst, like alot of fakes). I'm thinking that the figures are all like this, and then in a bigger box with the video containing it all. I'd live to know. Has anyone got one and opened theirs?

As for cheap Moby Dicks. It was a matter of right place-right time for me. A comic store near me imported two cases, which had 7 unique figures (Nemesis II, Tyrant T-002, Rebecca, Hunk, Ivy, Licker, Leon), which are the pricest ones to buy online. I bought them all at once, and got a small discount off the lot. In the end they were about $65 AU each, so about 35 pounds each?

The rest of the single figures aren't so rare in the US, so I just found an ebay seller who had them at a reasonable price, and asked him if I bought them all if he'd close the auctions early, and ship them together for me. It was another big hit at once, but saved for multiple shipping.

The two packs were harder. I found two when I was holidaying in Malayisa, and my father found another when he was in Hong Kong. They were between $25AU and $50AU each. I'd been turning them down for years, because they were all too expensive.

To get the final 2 pack I needed (Nemesis Carlos) cost me a heap. About $130 AU shipped. My complete collection of Moby Dicks took nearly 4 years to get, but eventually I got there.

Buying big at once is the way to do it. Even if a seller has listen them singlely, ask if they'll ship em together, and if they'll close early if you agree to buy all and pay instantly. It's a pain because it can be a HUGE whack to the wallet, but in the long run it's probably the cheapest way.

yeah buying big bundles is how i completed my star wars collection early. It's just hard to find a seller with more then 1 moby dick figure at the same time and if they do its either a claire and mr.x lol, which aren't the ones i wish to get at this time. The way i see collecting is, secure the rare ones first, then go onto the common ones, because after going through the hard job, you just have a fun end to collecting because your picking up the easy ones If the dragon figures are dolls then i may leave them be, as i prefer statue type, like the nemesis and jill ones. I thought the william might not be a fake because it did look real, its just the box that made me think that it could lead to being one. selfish gene do you also know any gd places to pick up r.e figures at gd deals, even tho i doubt any sellers are silly enough to list them cheap unless there neca ones.

We have those Dragon Model's of Chris and Claire. They are made of soft-foam latex.

I finally took the plunge and bought one of those Hot Toys figures yesterday.
I think the're too expensive but I bid on an auction for 'Krauser Transformed' and won it for $76 (still too expensive but they usually sell for $100-$130).
I love the seeker robot it comes with (they all have really cool accessories)
I'll decide when I get, it if I'm gonna try and buy the others in the series...

Yeah I like the RPD Leon too. He comes with the secret laser gun from the ps2 version (among other things)... They all look pretty good. I just wish they were a bit cheaper.
Krauser is cool! I hated him when I was first playing RE4. He's such a prick and damn hard to kill. Zipping around at light speed... I remember in 'Assignment Ada' when he charges at you along the bridge, it took me ages to learn how to do that bit. But when I unlocked him in the mercenaries game I suddenly really liked him. His arrows are cool and charging up that big mutated arm of his is awesome

I received some moments ago the new Tyrant statue and I´m a little disappointed, the sculpture is awesome but the painting is f**king dark, has nothing to do with the promotional pics that we saw months ago.

I take a picture with my digital camera but because the flash the statue appeared in the pic brighter that how it was in the reality, I make some retouches with the photoshop to show you how dark is the painting, the painting in this pics is almost 90 % accurate with the real thing.

    Take a look:

Also, the broken glass is made of cheap and soft plastic, I didn´t expected real glass, but god, is soft in the same way that the blister from regular figures are.

I love the figure and I don´t have any regrets, but I´m not going to buy more statues of this company until I see the real painting job, not the fake one from the promotional pictures.

yeah the promotional ones was of a lighter grey, which looked better as the blood vessles where easy to see. i was going to buy the jill one, but her face doesn't look all that. i'm not sure, if i see one in a shop, i'll ask to have a good look at it before i pay £60+

I've got several, various Tyrant figures. This statue gave me the idea of making my own custom version.
All I need to do is find a clear plastic tube that is large enough to fit one of the figures. Cut it down to size and carefully break a hole in it so that the Tyrant can be put inside with his fist or claw 'breaking out' of the hole.
Then put a cap on top and beneath, with some wires and smaller tubes coming from it and paint it all to make it look like the 'in game' real deal.
You could make a really cool looking scene
I've got some other ideas for custom stuff but I rarely find the time to mess around with such things...

What's wrong with Claire's cut off jeans? The're kinda sexy...
A few years ago, I accidentally ordered 2 of the 'Toy Biz' Ada Wong/Ivy packs. I'm thinking I might try to turn one into 'Ada Wong: Exclusive Umbrella Chronicles Version' (meaning, I'll try to put bandages on her )

I got my 'Hot Toys' Jack Krauser (transformed version) yesterday. It's the 1st figure I've ever bought that I'm seriously considering not opening. Not because I plan to resell it but because the packaging is so awesome! (I probably will open it eventually )
The box comes with little magnets inside so the lid can be opened and closed. The box, figure and all the accessories are all a fantastic, A-grade standard. Really high quality ('almost' worth the price..?)
Also it's BIG! I mean really F**KING HUGE! I put the Necca Krauser figure in one of the photos for scale.

i think you've just made hot toys some cash, because that looks amazing. I'm def thinking about getting the leon in r.p.d now. And it should be huge because of the money it cost but at the end of the day it doesn't beat a nemesis type 2

That looks much better than the one that Zombie posted. Any way to complain about the paint job? $200 is a big price tag, especially if the paint jobs are inconsistent

The pic looks better because the flash, I already told you in my entry. Thats not the real color, is not that bright.

well... i saw it with my eyes and my statue is that bright. your photo is extremely dark. nobody will see a statue in that light conditions.
the photos 3 & 5 have real bright... maybe there is inconsistence between the statues' colors... who knows...
