Default RE Revelations Producer Interested In Another Resident Evil 3DS Title

The producer of Resident Evil Revelations, Masachika Kawata, have stated that he is happy with the positive reactions from gamers regarding Resident Evil Revelations. He said that he is motivated to create another Resident Evil 3DS with the focus on the old school, survival horror feel similar to Revelations. Unfortunately he have a lot of other projects at the moment.

This should by no mean be treated as an official announcement, but it shows that it did crossed their mind to create another old school Resident Evil for the 3DS for now.

Their struggle for existence is over for the time being. But a sin violating sanctuary isn't forgiven. This is not just an end. This is the end of a beginning.

No rush I can wait for the price drop anyway. But knowing Capcom by then they wont be interested in the 3DS anymore and it will be the WIIU or something.

Well Sony pissed of Capcom and other PS3 developers so there is a chance that they might stick to the 3ds for another RE game, especially if this one keeps selling.

Finally got my hands on playing Rev now that I'm back home. Another 3DS game could be good since it's clear the hand held market can properly recreate console inspired games on them. Focusing on old school for real this time would be a plus too. But at the rate the series is heading that's not going to happen. Still, Revelations was positively received and that was a partial attempt at going back to horror so perhaps Capcom will look to this praise as a means to guide them on the next game if they ever do a follow up.

Actually, Capcom pissed off Sony by prostituting their franchises to the American paedophile Bill Gates.

Man I really want Revelations 2 sooooo badly. This news really excites me, and I'm psyched to hear Revelations was commercially successful.

Personally, I'd be okay with them just making a standalone Raid Mode title with more characters, stages, etc. I haven't even touched the main campaign since I beat it the first time.

The way Revelations ended, it figures that a direct sequel could be made. Since the plotline was self-contained in nature. One that could live-on on the 3DS handheld.

Vita can shine all it wants and it still has no resident Evil: Revelations on it. And if you're looking for something that won't break the bank, consider that the Vita is more expensive than a PS3 which has similar/better games (it even costs more with the required proprietary memory cards) and also buggy (that damn high-tech system will freeze on your ass out of the blue, thus forcing you to reset it). No thanks. I'll wait for a revision on that one (and if it gets a Resident Evil game).

So you didn't beat it on Hell mode then... Normal is easy compared to Hell mode and the survival aspect of it goes up to 11.

Raid Mode is okay. Better than Mercenaries IMO. But I wouldn't buy a game with just that on it.

Honestly? I just don't have the drive to play through it again. I may get around to tackling Hell Mode one of these days, but my heart's just not in it right now.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Revelations. It just wasn't a game that I felt compelled to play through again immediately after beating it. Not like some of the previous REs, anyway.
