  • Capcom Tracking Resident Evil ORC Bugs

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City was released a while ago, but apparently there are several bugs in the game.

Capcom is tracking the bugs, probably going to fix them via patch soon. If you encounter any problem with the game, you can inform Capcom by this thread

Slant-Six have also acknowledged the flaws and wishes to fix them, but they says the patch decision is up to Capcom

It's going to take more than a few patches to fix this game.

Yeah, it'll have to come out of the beta stage first.

Well at least they're trying no? First step to fixing a problem is admitting there is one . . .

Still another in a LONG line of games getting patched after release. Devs just seem lazy with betatesting games, leaving shit unpolished in favour of making release date. Procastinating attitude to bugs . . .

Slant Six Games: "We know the flaws in the game, and we’d like to fix them"
Oh, no you don't... you already did enough damage.

Go back to your next project. Let Capcom handle this one....

            Oh snap!

Um dont people get paid for things like this? Im not doing their job for them. Man am I glad I decided to wait for the bargin bin. Feel sorry for anyone who paid £40 for this game. If you enjoy it cool but if you paid £40 and think its pants then I feel for you.

It used to be that way. When companies had paid professional beta testers.

But these days, both Bethesda and Capcom save themselves some serious cash by simply having the fanbase of their popular franchises act as guinea pigs. And who are more than willing to PAY to act as beta testers.

The good news is that regardless of how they went about testing out their games, patches are a comin'

My copy must be magical, because I played it again for several hours last night and still not had any of these bugs or glitches mentioned. Also Lupo/Dee-Ay are way unbalanced.

It's not completely a developer issue more like a deadline issue. Higher ups at Capcom tell you to release a game in March and there's no room for delays. In that kind of scenario bugs and glitches are almost inevitable.

And is some cases it's not always a matter of just simply making a patch. Tomm Hulett has to deal with complaints over the HD Collection having really poor bugs. All he can do is lobby for Konami to give the okay to make one. Then it has to go through the channels of the system to the game patch is for.

It's no excuse for ORC having some bad bugs in an otherwise fun game, but if enough people bring this to their attention then I'm hopeful that a few of these bad glitches and bugs can be removed properly. Same with Silent Hill HD Collection. Two great survival horror games need not be overlooked because of technical issues.
