Here's what fifield originally looked like, as seen in the early trailers:

That version is also more interesting then the one we got. It looks like a lifeless Smeagol from Lord of the Rings... which makes sense considering it was generated at Weta (according to article) who did the VFX work for LotR.
Very interesting article about possible sequel: http://collider.com/prometheus-2-sequel/172444/
Spoiler:
I would see a sequel whether Ridley Scott was attached or not. The ending leaves a lot to be desired and my hope is that it doesn't completely answer everything but leaves more open to sift through.
I couldn't imagine a sequel without Scott personally. The film was his and Lindelof's vision, and they both hint they've a clear direction where it's intended to go. But I am rather concerned, with Scott doing a new film now, and then Blade Runner sequel, we've potentially another 6/7 years before the Prometheus sequel, by then he'll be nigh on or even bang on or even beyond 80.

And that's why it's deeply flawed. Scott needs to stay behind with a general idea of things to come, but he really, REALLY needs to hire a good scriptwritter. I hold Lindelof responsible for all the dramatic plot related incoherences, underdeveloped characters, scientific aberrations, etc.
This guy needs to stick with tv series and stay as far as possible from SF movies.
edit: Interesting little article about what the movie could have been: http://www.prometheusnews.net/movie/uap-bluray/
It was supposed to introduce eggs and facehuggers at some point in the movie.

Page 7 - the original version of Fifield. Very, very different
And lol @ this. If anyone has seen Red Letter Media's Star Wars Prequel trilogy reviews, you know what to expect. If you've not seen them, definately put a few hours aside and watch them all.

Lindelof is better as a story concept guy really.
Jon Spaights talking about his script, before it was taken over by Damon:

Honestly, I would have much preferred that version of the movie. Most of the stupid and incoherent things featured in prometheus exist because all those alien elements were removed from the movie while trying to stick to the original plot.
For example why and how Shaw gets pregnant, the Alien (that emerged from her) killing people around instead of a mutated fifield, etc.
I think the moment they deceived to can the Aliens is when the script became non-nonsensical and silly. They should have started again from scratch.
Got the bluray today, and it's a really comprehensive and amazing package. The docu looks amazing from what I've seen of it and the deleted scenes are great. Fifields original implimentation (though the effects are unfinished) is amazing, and certain scenes allow certain bits in the film to make lots more sense. Milburn is given a reason as to why he so openly offers his hand to the space worm thing, and Vickers is given a personality in two great new extended moments.
Doesn't have the original Fifield fight arrangment though, or Shaw's clasp of her hands, disappointingly.
I'm also pretty gutted that Scott didn't want to do an extended cut, because it's clear some of these scenes would of benefitted the movie a great deal.

I need to pick it up on bluray!
PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium
It was underwhelming but an okay movie, I can see the flaws on it but I don't understand why everyone was so mad at it. Fassbender was excellent by the way.

Weyland is Oswell E. Spencer in BH5.

This film was terrible, both standing alone by itself and even worse when trying to fit it into the Aliens universe.
