Oh..Oh shit, I forgot E3 was even happening.wow, means we'll have some RE6 news tomorrow.
Well, here's hoping Leons scenario is what they've said it was.

I have no hands-on experience with it, so I couldn't say. . .but it sure does look as weird as the n64 controller was, just in a different way. . .and where the heck is the Z button?
Missed the Gamepad device(What exactly is that) and the online networks sneak peak. But yeah, I'm hoping this is the year Nintendo finally has an awesome gaming press conference, and not a bunch of hymming and hawing about motion devices. Only the Nintendo fanboys thought there conference last year was good, but really most the games weren't that interesting as far as big console titles to sell to the 360/ps3 crowd(besides Zelda, I suppose, but everyone already knew of that one). If they'll minimize the talk, along with showing us some real core games from them and others for a change, the Wii U might actually be a console I pick up somewhere down the line. Here's hoping, anyway. I miss having a Nintendo console.
Cammie Dunaway? Really??? The best thing they did last year was leave her off the show. Every year she was on stage, she was always so horrible to watch because she has about as much gaming cred as any of the "actors" Microsoft hires to demonstrate Kinect and Xbox Live features. Just keep it to Iwata, Miamotyo(sp), and Reggie, please.

Please be true!

The "GamePad" is just the normal pad controller that Nintendo first showed off, they've just named it officially (as the "WiiU GamePad") and shown the revisions to the control layout on it since it's apperance at last years E3.
Again as I mentioned I'm taking the fact they've had this almost pre-conference conference as a good indicator that it's going to be more about the games, so I'll be horribly let down if it's not the case. LOL Though to be honest unless they really fuck it up, I expect Nintendo's will be the best just because they'll have the newest, less predictable and most interesting stuff on show even if it was still just the same old Nintendo first party games we expect every time they launch something. And I'm not even really a fan of Nintendo at all.
I say this simply with no real new hardware announcements expected otherwise I expect the others will play safe when they shouldn't, but Sony really needs to put out some big guns for both PS3 and Vita to just prove some further staying power against Microsoft.
Microsoft's biggest titles are all expected though (more gears! more halo! more space marines bleh!), so unless they're hiding something very big up their sleeve (and it's possible) Sony just need to create new buzz with new stuff or massive exclusives rather than relying on the same old to look better. But with stuff like the new God of War and this Smash Bros. type game if they don't show anything else thats not much of a chance. The only original massive title on the way for PS3 that we know of is Last of Us. More of that will make their event better.

Most likely a Vita port of Revelations, but I wouldnt have any issues with it being another stand alone RE game for the vita.

If Microsoft just sits on more Kinect titles other than the Halo 4 and Gears stuff like they did last year there will be some sort of revolt I'm sure. I don't think anyone there would be dumb enough to repeat last years one, especially two years in a row, but who knows. Anything is possible.
Re: RE Portable - Given the timing of the listing, guess it's true. But I just expect more 3DS and not a PSV title myself. Then again, more games on more platforms...

Cammie was a joke.
The Z button on the Superpad 64 sits on the underside of the left of the controller, somewhere behind/between the D-Pad and stick, it faces the 'north' of the controller so felt perfect when holding. The controller was a marvel, just to hold it and grip it in your hands felt perfect, looking at it especially the underside it looked a really odd shape, but this made it perfect to hold. The D-pad was perfect and even though only a 4 way pad it performed great for all 8 directions, the analogue stick was metal and had more freedom than any other N64 controller offered, it was easy to move yet stiff enough to not fall about, extremely precise. The buttons were the perfect type, so many controllers suffer buttons that when you push down on never know when fully pushed, or if they have returned to original position, the Superpad you could feel when the buttons were fully depressed easily since they needed a bit of depth, but they offered just the perfect amount of resistance when pressd also and had a nice click to them. The shoulder buttons stuck out pretty far and had a nice bit of give on them when press in, the default N64 controllers kind of sank into the controller on the edges and were awful. Lastly the cord was much much longer than the default pad, giving more freedom in the room. It was about 30% the price of an official pad and the Plus version had turbo fire options. NOTHING ever went loose or slack over time and usage.
Whoever designed it achieved the greatest gift to gaming. Ever. ;)

You forget, they most likely have the WORLD PREMIERE GAMEPLAY OF BLACKOPS 2, OH MY!!
Well, I personally think they are dumb enough, consider they've had the same terrible press conference twice in a row(There's not really anything to distinguish their E3 10-11 conference format, really). Unless they surprise the fuck out of everyone and show off the next xbox, or they just have a few secret third party exclusives, they really don't have anything to bring to the table because they have shit for first party studios at this point. And generally, they seem still very much focused on the casual market, and pushing Kinect, the same way Nintendo was digging in about the greatness of Wii and it's motion controllers and the casual audience growth, regardless of criticism of the conference.
Yeah, that's what I figured--I just forgot to sorta give a hint that I knew it must have been sarcasm, lol. I think I could see how the Superpad would be nice. I know I definitely prefer using my xbox 360 controllers when playing n64 games on emulators.

That RE Portable listing has been there since 2009 or so.
Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

YARHHHHHHH BLOPS2! SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT. lol Yeah, sorry forgot about that.
I classed 10 and 11's Microsoft events as different beasts. 10 gets a pass of difference based on new technology needing it's time to be showcased (unless my brain is tricking me and the Kinect actually did appear first back in 09 - thus proving your point that MS's events have blurred into one in my mind). Last years really pushed the casual beyond the standard MS fare until then, unlike the year before, so it's a little different.
But otherwise you're right, there is a chance without other new stuff and hardcore other than pre-announced we'll be subjected to more Kinect added into games, more Kinect titles for the family, and more about intergrating the "xbox experience" into other parts of our lives. *blarg*
I really think both companies are being honest when they say they have no plans for new hardware to be properly showcased. I mean there is a chance they'll "Nintendo" it and do what they did with the WiiU last year... and Sony loves showcasing a tech demo as E3 fodder even, but even though they obviously are working on new stuff, I honestly think we won't see anything from either one until next years event.
Drac - So it's just from then PSP Go! listed title then. The old news is old and dead. Thanks to that website then getting hopes up. Ass. :p

I don't think it was ever a PSP GO! only game, but I know a RE Portable listing has been on play.com forever. The name kinda gives it away that is old, otherwise 'Resident Evil Vita'.
As to Kinect at E3, started in 2009, Natal back then, avatar shoe/BAM display, Project Milo etc.
Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

It probably was a standard PSP title, but I think it was announced the same year in 2009 with the Go! was which is why I also made the connection. But you're right, name should have pingged earlier. Hell, Play.com even has a E3 section right now. You'd think they wouldn't be listing it if it was a new announcement. Site is just hit grabbing or the guy really is not on it.
As for Kinect, shit I did forget about all the Natal stuff @ 09's event. Then I stand corrected, the last couple of shows really have blurred together for me.

I suppose they technically could bit a bit of an "excuse" for E3 10 since they had to sell Kinect since it was coming out that year(Even despite it being shown off at 09), but there simply hasn't been any balance to what they want to put out there. They pretty much abandoned the hardcore gaming ship, which is why I pretty much despise them. Despite the 360 itself being garbage machine, the online and the games were great for the 1st couple of years. This was also helped by how inferior ps3 ports were of third party titles also, and how behind sony was in it's own online infrastructure. So the 360 has become more or less my default used games console for the most part, since there's nothing I ever want that's exclusive to the system or worth getting new. I got my 360 a month after the initial launch. I didn't get a ps3 until MGS4 came out, and besides RE5, the ps3 didn't really become my default gaming machine until after a full year, which is basically the transition period when things began to shift with Microsoft going to the casual market, and the ps3 gaining some real software momentum. PS4 will most likely be the first next-gen console I get. . .but I honestly can't say if I"ll even bother with picking up MIcrosoft's next given their current direction in gaming. If Nintendo is really going back to their roots of making games for the hardcore audience once again, the Wii U may very well be my second console of choice. I was raised on Nintendo, after all.
...For those who missed the Pre-E3 Nintendo Direct video.
I can say now that I'm pretty excited for 'Nintendo's Conference'.
This is the Reggie I want tomorrow. This is the Nintendo I want tomorrow. Make it happen, Reggie! Make it happen. Bring on the games, baby. Bring on the games.
Some of those features sound good but really how often going use them/care about them? How many people really care about watching Miis gather around icons of popular games? Although he acknowledges it in the video is no way gonna be able to filter out spoilers in games when some could have millions playing it, even tens of thousands is a huge stretch to partly filter.
...and forced Mii implementation (of Wii quality no less) is not how you convince non casuals that Nintendo has learned its mistakes.
Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

When wrathborne posted that other thread about the Nintendo online stuff, he linked to the Kotaku coverage... just noticed further down a story about Microsoft streaming Xbox content to other devices.
http://kotaku.com/5915340/microsoft-...ive-companions
Rumor now obviously, but if this is par for the course of previous "XBox/Microsoft everywhere" ideas and of course if true for actual announcement at their event in under 9 hours from now, then we might as well just throw the expectations of much good from them out the window. :p
Most Xbox fans never liked the avatar addition to XBL, is part the entire kinect casual crap they've been complaining about the last few years. Even then at least visually are a massive step up from Wii quality, though neither match Home avatars.
At least Home is optional.
