Slender Free New Game Supposedly the Scariest Game Ever!

I am not one for PC gaming but when I woke up this morning my brother was all hyped up about this game Slender. I have never heard of it but apparently its pretty big on the internet and I was suprised that it hasnt been mentioned on this forum already. Its a game made by just an average Joe guy who was a big fan of Halloween and how Myers stalks his pray. Its set in the woods and you have to find 8 pages spread out around the map. Once you find the first page you are relentesly stalked by a mythical creature called Slender Man who already has a cult following online before this game. Kinda like the Mothman Prophecy. Once he stalks you, you cannot look at him directly or its game over. He follows you around the woods and the audio is second best to no game it is genuinley creepy. Move over all survival horror games there is a new king in town.

This game is free and takes only seconds to download. Seriously every single person on this forum has to try this game it is made for us survival horror fanatics.

I never understood how companies couldn't achieve what maybe a Uni Student can achieve. It's really annoying and pathetic that they advertise their games as scary when they have NOTHING on indie games like Amnesia and Slender. Another good horror that is meant to be HORRIFYING is a game called SCP, Secure, Control, Protect 087-A, 087-B and Containment Breach. Slender is a horrifying game man, so much dread in one game...

Yeah its great fun. Bastard had me trapped in the toilets. Tried waiting it out, turning my light off he just wouldnt leave he waited outside the door for me ended up just running at him.

Fun little game. I spotted him pretty fast (page two) but by turning off my light a bit and following the standard horror practice of not looking behind me I managed to get to page 5 before dying. Even then I didn't see him, he just came up behind me and killed me.

Yeah its funny how people cant help but look. I am the same as you I would just turn the other way and avoid him but eventually he will get you. Keeps cornering me. I am waiting for him to appear infront of me as I turn my flashlight back on but I dont think it works that way. That was be bad ass but yeah its fun for a free game and is pretty creepy more so than most mass produced games I have been playing recently.

Toonami reviewed this game. Next day, I see someone on Steam playing it, this thread pops up, and now there's a Kotaku article on a fan-made film of the game.

I watched the youtube video and I don't really see what's supposed to be scary about this. Slender man looks like he's made of play-doh and the dude playing it is either faking being so scared for game promotion or is just a big weiner. Then again maybe it can be scary when played but I hate PC gaming so I probably will never know. Cool that it's free, though and I give them credit for trying.

Now i'm not saying I can't be scared or anything like that because the original 2 Clock tower games made me jump all the time when I played them years ago (the real CT2, not the fake one released in the U.S./Canada as part 2 which is actually CT3).

Play it, there is a difference. Its not scary for everyone I think its more creepy and has you on edge than being actually scary.

It is fairly creepy and nerve wracking. Not as scary as the Youtube video suggests, and certainly not the scariest game of all time, but for a free game? Excellent.

lol, I watched a stream on this game about 4-6 days ago. I've haven't laughed this much in months...or maybe, even years watching someone get really scared! xD

I really recommend watching it! The slender part starts at about the 3 hour mark. Devin & his girlfriend 'Lindsey' play the game, just wait until you see 'Devin' play...it's hysterical! Comedy Gold per se! xD

2 days ago I went for a walk up the mountain with the Mrs and her daughter. I ended up treking off on my own for about an hour. I was in the middle of the woods and open fields and it was pretty creepy but if I had played this game, read about him and saw some of the videos on Youtube I wouldnt have left their side. There are some really creepy sighting videos on Youtube. The fact that he just stands in the background and watches you is very disturbing. He stalks you so you see him throughout your day in the background you start to get ill and paranoid and then he comes for you wether it be when you are out and about or in the middle of the night he enters your room and takes you. Then takes you into the woods and impales you on branches on a tree. Then takes out your organs while you are alive wrap them in plastic and puts them back inside you. Apparentley he is attracted to people who have had tragedy in their life. The fact that I live 20 seconds for the woods really hits home for me. This is one of the scariest 'mythical' creatures ever for me. To hell with Bigfoot this guy is a million times more terrifiying. For me living by the woods is like someone living on the shore of the Loch Ness.

There is an official site but my brother says that he had a pop up from his anti-virus saying not to download the file. You should be able to find it fairly easy just type in Slender game free on Google. Of course download with caution but Im pretty sure its about the internet in alot of places now.

This game is scary. I died on my first time playing it and I hadn't even got one page yet. Bastard was camping in the bath house area. I went to enter the area, static started up, and I ran in. He was hiding around the corner in one of the stalls. I turned the corner and it was game over.

Also I got up to page 7 and went to turn around, guess what? He was right behind me. Instant game over... I tell ye it may not look scary from the videos but it is scary when you play it. You kinda fear seeing him pop up.

Same here. I had not heard about Slender Man before either but I read up on him. There are eye witness accounts, audio files, and some videos. I am skeptical but some stuff is convincing.
