  • New Resident Evil Afterlife Poster and Trailer

IGN have released a new poster for Resident Evil : Afterlife. The poster confirms the release date as September 10 and adds the word "3D" to the movie's title. Click the thumbnail above to view the poster in full size.

Also, a new trailer for Afterlife has leaked onto youtube. The trailer is pretty low quality but shows off several new scenes. We'll keep you posted when the trailer is released in proper fashion as well. For now watch the cam quality trailer here.

Edit : Better quality version of the trailer available here.

Thanks to a STARS member for the heads up on the trailer.

I detect some RE5 influences in this movie which were probably included as some sort of fan service.

P.S. Milla looks like Lara Croft in that poster.

You got to love how they just randomly put Wesker into the corner of the poster...

Nice to see Anderson learned nothing about the 3D techniques used in Avatar and has just resorted having things flying toward camera seemingly every 5 minutes.

The executioner looks insanely authentic. Right down to his axe.
I have to say I'm a little irked at them promo'ing Alice jumping out the window via Matrix style. I want to see something kick-ass, not a Matrix reproduction.

Also, hoping there will be a showcase for the movie at the San Diego comic-con. I'd be surprised if there wasn't.

The poster has a strange, unfitting comic book feel to it.

                WAM! BAM! POW!

                Heh.

Poster reminds me of that scene in the second Matrix movie where Trinity goes for a swandive. Who wants to bet she gets shot, only for an Alice clone (or maybe that one is the clone...) to fly in and save her. And then maybe make out.

At least she has the decency to cross her legs whilst free falling.

I am actually....kinda....looking forward to this one.

                        There, I said it.

I enjoyed the first film and Apocolypse (when I finally trained myself to see them as completely separate to my beloved games series!) but was not a fan of Extinction at all. I thought the series was dead after that one but what I've seen so far of Afterlife looks good.

                        Roll on September, I say!

I liked the beggining, showing the start of Tokio outbreak. Why we didnt have a scene like that in games?

the HELP US in the building remembers me of Dawn of Dead

Why all the RE movies have to start with "My name is Alice..."... I hate it!.

Because she constantly has to remind us who she is, otherwise everyone would have forgotten her
