What are you listening to now/your music taste?

I thought it had a few decent tracks (towards the end of the album), but otherwise was pretty average. They've been kinda average for a while now, in my opinion. I liked some of The System Has Failed, but nothing else they've done in the new millennium has caught my attention. They lost a lot of my interest, though, back when Friedman and Menza left the band. Now it seems it's just Mustaine and rent-a-musicians. At least Ellefson is back, though.

I like to think that Mustaine keeps doing music just to spite other people, like "You don't like me? Fuck you, I'll go on until I die".

Megadeth's new album, TH1RT3EN. Good stuff, not as good as their last one, Endgame, but still good.

Can't argue with that, although I must say I almost always prefer the lyric version of songs. I'm a sucker for a good female vocalist.

Well, I don't mind the male vocalist for Beauty Is Within Us as I'm used to the more rough sounding voice with say, Rob Dougan and the like but I greatly enjoy listening to the backing music too.

I've pretty much liked all of the female vocalist songs from Ghost in the Shell, only a couple of songs out of all of the OSTs haven't been the best in my book, but not the worst either.

I loved Rise, though Player was also interesting (namely the music in the background during the sort of rap-ish section). Replica was also nice, despite being a change in singers sadly. But still a good song.



Though out of the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex O.S.T. album, I wish we had gotten an instrumental version of Beauty Is Within Us, I like the vocals but an instrumental version would have been great too.

The only as good as Inner Universe? Rise, the opening to 2nd gig. Although nothing tops the beginning of Inner Universe. English, Latin and Russian in one song. Delicious.
