ah ok, I thought it was a generic thread for all playthroughs of RE1, I didn't use the debug menu to activate it, I just had it on that's all to monitor the changes.
It seems it's only the Director's Cut where the main hall track is gone
Original version with audio, ignore the description.
I still need to find the scene with Barry meeting me in the save room, it may of been from the trial edition though, it had a few differences irc, one where a zombie came down the stairs etc.

Can you guys bring the beta talk back into the thread for it? No offense or anything, but its best served there. You can get that scene in retail too, I think as Enigma said ;)

If you some how get there with your inventory full, Barry doesn't give you acid rounds and the rest of scene plays out slightly different.

He gives you the lockpick as soon as you go to the main hall after exiting the dining room.

Guest repliedI wonder what happens if you edit the flags so that you trigger two of Jill's hallway scenarios in one. The game or emulator would probably crash I would think, but still could be interesting to try just to see what happens. You could simply fill the conditions for the one you just posted, uncheck the flag for the lockpick scene and then teleport. Unless the one you posted requires you not having the lockpick?Last edited by Guest; 04-07-2011, 01:43 PM.

Smash the statue
Complete the dining room puzzle
Go through the east wing ground floor "Locked by sword key in Chris's scenario" door and head for the chemical save room
Pickup chemical
Now head back the way you came towards the dining room as if you where trying to get to the greenhouse and it should trigger the scene, it's all about avoiding Barry, "Don't do the shotgun puzzle".

How did you activate it?

Does anyone know where this scene is from or how to activate it normally?
Figured it out lol!I wish I remembered more about this game, would be much easier knowing what I'm looking at... Got no idea about Barry stopping in front of the clock like you say; someone mentioned there was a video? Have you got a link to it? I know what the room flags do in this room now and none of them seem to indicate any interaction between Barry and the clock, tried all the things I could (so far) to force it out and I'm pretty confident there's nothing there. Seems a very unique thing indeed...
I've been thinking about trying to see if I can get it to happen again. But I doubt my chances because it only happened that one time in 10+ years.
About the video of it, Dot has a copy it perhaps he'll upload it sometime.

It only happened one time in all the times I've played over 10+ years, so I suppose some freak glitch could have caused it.
Only by pausing the scenario was I able to get Barry to actually stop in front of the clock while looking at it like in my last post...
Sorry if this little to do with this thread, but this post intrigued me so thought I'd investigate a little... Could very well be that Barry was supposed to do something with the clock but it was removed. You may have very well been looking at an unused part of this scenario.
Now I think about it, the way you describe it does sound familiar. I'm not sure if I remember it happening to me, but there is something very familiar about what you said, almost as if I've seen it my self before...Last edited by Guest; 04-06-2011, 02:53 PM.

I used the stop flags to pause the cutscene during the first segment in this room (Barry walking up the Dining Room towards the clock) and this is where he stops.I assume exactly in the same location you describe in the retail build...
