Guest repliedI think the builds were designed for the likes of the V-Jump presentation and then were sent out to demo in other countries. From what I can tell the builds we got were for Capcom USA or something as along with the discs pictured there are documents written in English giving an overview of the alpha, with a brief outline of the story and the controls etc.Originally posted by drunkdog View PostMaybe they made those demo versions with intent of using those to send for testing/reviews to the game magazines..... and both those early alphas actually came from full builds or close to full.

Thank you very much for this, OKeijiDragon. I saw a low quality version of the Biohazard segment some years ago, it's nice to have the full VHS to watch.

The point I was making was unless their is another build dated October 1995, this footage comes from a different part of development as the build we have.

Videotapes can be recorded in High Definition without loss of quality, like Film Reels? Also it would be great if we could find the full uncensored intro with that framerate.Originally posted by OKeijiDragon View PostI'll be keeping the tape until I someday possess some sort of HDMI-capable VHS player (bundled with DVD, Laser Disc, or Blu-Ray) that will allow me to record 1080p (upscaled or otherwise). I ripped this tape in S-Video 480i.

The Yawn battle shows the alpha backgrounds, the bluish/purple ones.

The builds we have are just demos.Originally posted by geluda View PostThanks for sharing! All I can really comment is that it's not the 1995-10-04 build as there's a lot more featured in that promo than there is content contained on that disc. Unless it's a mixture of two different builds, it deffinately comes from a later part of the development.
