I don't own a PS3, but that game did look like a lot of fun to play.

I'm totally excited for this game. I'm in the same boat as Darkmoon though...I'm trying to resist watching too many trailers and such. I don't want to be spoiled too much. It looks beautiful though...and the intricate story telling sounds so intriguing.

Heavy Rain to be Censored?

It seems that in the actual version of the game, Heavy Rain obtains a MINIMUM RANKING of 18+ contents. Do you remember the Farenheit sex scene? In Heavy Rain there will be 'love scenes' made by using all the power of Motion Capturing of the Quantic Dream studio.
Sony is now pushing David Cage to put away some adult contents (not just sex contents), but the designer is fighting to mantain the original version of the PS3 game. Sony wants the game to be a 16+ maybe, but Cage wants the original contents.

Is this another case of non-shipping game like Manhunt?

This sucks. I really hope it doesn't get censored for something so stupid as this. A Sex scene. I mean, if this was a film, there would be not even a hint of controversy or any talk of censoring it. Yet because it's a game, and some kid may play it (they can watch films too you know ) It's has to be censored. This is just fucking stupid.

Someone needs to put an end to this bullshit.

Games get so much hate for no reason at all. It's really unfair.

That was most interesting...and yes, as a parent, I've had those, 'Oh shit, where has the child gone?' moments so I know exactly what he means. The more I see of this game the more I'm willing to sell a soul to get it. Haven't been this excited in a long, long time for a video game.

I agree. If parents would actually follow the rating system and not pussy out when their kids whine and buy their 12 year olds M/18+ games, maybe people wouldn't have any need to bitch about mature content being in a mature game. And its not like the sex is going to be porn style anyway. Hell...there are tv shows that have had some pretty "graphic" sex in them. I remember watch "The Riches" with my mom once...and the man character and his wife were going at it at one point and I was completely amazed that it managed to make it pass censors.

But moving on. I have since discovered this idiocy revolving around video game censorship for a few years now.

Why is sex in video games even having so much more attention that stores literally WON'T carry them unless it's removed (unless it is primarily an adult game, like the Leisure Suit Larry series).

I can chop people's limbs off and blow their heads apart in Fallout 3, but store aren't going to NOT carry it.

But if you pass a little sex scene (like the Mass Effect scandal. Fux News will forever be unwatchable for that.) with some tasty nudity, all of a sudden it's on every major news network.

I remember watch "The Riches" with my mom once...and the man character and his wife were going at it at one point and I was completely amazed that it managed to make it pass censors.

Even more amusing about the sex in video games is just that. I've played a few LSL games. They are completely meant for nothing but raunchy humor. And yes...they are pretty damn funny in some cases. But they also seem to sexualize and objectify women. Sex in games like Mass Effect isn't different from what you'd see in an R or even PG-13 movie. It really is idiotic how people make a big deal over such a small thing.
