That is correct, but thanks to people at gaf with the IP trick to tricking steam into unlocking the game on the date of the American release, I can play the game fine. Also I know a guy here in Leicester who is happy to sell games early before release to me (hell, I got Uncharted 2 almost a week early and I will again for Uncharted 3)
