I should have pre-ordered this when I had the chance. No shop around me has any they are willing to sell because of pre-orders.... Argh. To make matters worse, I went to rent a video game and inadvertently picked up the wrong box since it was behind the clamshell of the game I wanted... WTF is Earth Defense Force 2017?! >:[]

LOL! My friend owns that game. I was over his house one time and we were playing it for like an hour. Then we turned and asked each other "Why are we playing this?" and popped in RockBand. It gets better later on too, you fight some giant robot dinosaur/godzilla thing.

On topic however, I played Gears 2 yesterday at that same friends house and I love it much more than the first. I'm probably gonna ask for it for Christmas. Horde mode sounds pretty fun if you have friends over.

Earth Defense Force is an immense game, played it a lot on my friends console.

Has anyone been playing horde at all yet? I recommend 5 players minimum to stand a chance on Insane... Me and my friends made it to wave 20 in 6 hours and we're stuck now...

I recently beat Gears of War 2. I have to admit that I thought it kicked major ass... Up until the last half. Don't get me wrong. It never slows down as an action game, but the original story (That I just loved) ends as soon as Dom "finds what he's looking for." Right after that -The Flood attacks and the Prophet goes on rants over the inercom. You'll see what I mean.

I liked that bit when the Helghast turned up, and we had to detonate the Halo in order to blow them up. This was before Brian Cox gained possession of REX's railgun, and used it to put an end to the threat posed by the Los Illuminados.

You know I got this game on Release date, and I STILL haven't played the frigging thing thanks to my 360 dying on me -_-.

Gears 2 is perfect, but I loved Gears 1 all the same.
Online mode is even better, I've got myself a gold plated lancer and hammerburst, so I look like a legend online but play like a rookie lol
Hoard is fantastic, I haven't got into a sub/mini game like this since r.e 3 had machinery's.
I would love a Gears 3, and c'mon they kinda give you an idea that they might do one after the credits ;)

Having your freinds work together to go through wave and wave on Horde is fucking awesome. It was also an epic campaign with some good set peices. Love it.

Got 2 codes of that myself;

When GOW2 came out I thought my LE was lost in the Post as it hadn't arrived 2 weeks after release so I got a full refund from HMV and bought it in GAME, well yesterday the game arrived in a crumpled up parcel box so now I have 2 Limited Edition games :p

Anyway, took time to sit down and finish it today, i'd give it probably 8.0/10 max.
Great Graphics, amazing set pieces, good sound, didn't think much of the narrative but I suppose GOW was never about narrative to begin with :p.
