can i put my gamertag and saved data on a usb device?

my friend is coming over and were gonna play RE5 but he wants to use his hard drive, andi really dun want to restart with none of my upgrade.

can i use a usb enabled device like a PSP as a transfer device?

but if you have one of those 360 specific memory units .. those come in packaged with the arcade units .

Read about someone who did transfer it, don't remember how as he had 3 360's in 3 separate rooms, eventually got caught out and his account banned, not sure if it was true though.
