I like how every Kojima fan boy in the world is going nuts over the prospect of yet another 10+hour interactive movie, because that's all MGS has been the last few games. MGS1 was an awesome game, MGS2 was an acceptable sequel and beyond that's it's just not good anymore. I really don't get why people keep going back to it, it's never going to be MGS1 again. It's like all the other franchises in the world that have spawned a stupid number of sequels, none are good yet people keep flocking to them, and with every new one they make it takes away a little bit of what made it so good in the first place.

I wanted the series to be over as well, but the excitement I felt when I saw Big Boss's face flash on my monitor is only matched by the excitement I've felt for MGS games.

No shit. No one's saying to not have an opinion, but it's a little ridiclous how the excitement hasn't even worn off yet as the reveal was just about 90 minutes ago, and people are already bitching about a game that they know NOTHING about.

I did like the game, like i said i thought MGS1 was an awesome game, now though i'm just seeing how long it'll take before the remaining fans wise up and start to realise Kojima is milking them and offering very little in return.

Every successful series gets milked and everyone knows it. it doesn't matter what it is. There are spinoffs, shitty sequels, comic books, whatever. I'm not naive enough to say "HAY NO UR MILKIING ME KOJEEMA I'M NOT BUYING THIS." I enjoyed MGS3 and MGS4, I still enjoy the series, so I'm naturally going to be excited for this, whatever it is...

But none of the games have added anything to the overall story, nothing that makes any kind of logical sense anyway, it's been one big long cut scene strung together by the same repetitive game play and even boss fights from previous games, so there's nothing new, and i just don't get why all you guys are so riled up about another one.

yha the story does make sense it just takes some thinking. the over all story is good just cause you dont like it any more doesnt mean everyone should hate it.
