Most Anticipated New Titles?

Dead Rising 2, and Mario Galaxy 2. Because zombies are awesome and Mario always puts his best foot forward.

I know this is an RE site, but I cannot comprehend how people are excited for DSC over amazing games like Uncharted or MW2. It just makes no sense whatsoever.

I find it very odd that youre surprised. People in RE forums go "wooooot!" at any and all RE titles aslong as theres RE in it. This is odd indeed.

I completely forgot two important games. Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising and Armed Assault 2. Both combat sims on massive scale.

Yes, you're right. I guess I was wrong in being perplexed. It's just that a majority of the folks that are excited for DSC have also played REUC and hated that title. So naturally, I'd expect them to be skeptical of what is basically REUC with different characters/settings.

Okay, but this isn't about console. Looking at it that way, though, there are still much more likely to be good or great titles like "Mario Galaxy 2" or "Metroid: TOM" or "SMB Wii" or even "Silent Hill: SM" which look like actual games compared to a light gun on rails shooter which is a follow up to a mediocre affair.

All in all, it is personal preference, I know. I was just taken aback by the way some had listed DSC as a top title to be excited for amongst a list full of games with real potential.

Take, for instance, COD4. I am not a huge FPS fan, at all. But I played that game in its entirety as many times as I played REUC (twice). Which game was a phenomenal experience with A+++++ visuals, environments, atmosphere, gameplay, audio, etc? COD4. Hence, logic tells me that MW2 will be far superior to REUC 2. Am I excited to play either one...no, not really. But I know, rationally, which will be the superlative title.

And I am even RE-biased.

.Mass Effect 2 though... I absolutely can't wait. The amount of hours I've spent on that game. The ending still manages to give me goosebumps despite completing it several times.

haha same here i loved Mass Effect and the second one should be even better. Im hoping that the combat has been modified to make it a little bit more interesting though but if they dont i dont mind too much because it would still be a great game

Golden Sun DS. Finally, one of my favorite RPG series is getting a new installment! I can only guess as to where the story can go. Someone (a certain Alex comes to mind) trying to harness Alchemy, perhaps?

Well i think my top ten would have to be..

1. Star Wars: The Old Republic - Because i love everything Star Wars, and the story looks really good in this. I'm never played a MMO but this will be my first.

2. Modern Warefare 2 - Self explanatory. It just looks awesome and I'm a big COD fan.

3. Silent Hill: Shattered Memory's - The gameplay trailer for this got me so exited, i really really like the look of this, it's so different and actually looks like a survival horror, if i were to make a horror game it would probably be just like this. If only all remake were this good.


4. God of War III - EEEPPIIICCC!!!!!!

5. Resident Evil: Portable - Zombies! Raccoon City! Classic Gameplay as a possibility! I'm Sold.


6. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker - This continues Naked Snakes story line who is my favorite Metal Gear protagonist, and will possibly feature Para-Medic in it too. plus the trailer has me intrigued as to how there are 4 snakes at once.

7. Alan Wake - The gameplay video has a lot of new and interesting idea's in it and i really wanna see what it's all about. And from the looks of it the story will be good too.

8. Heavy Rain - This game intrigued me beyond belief, i cannot wait to play it, it's looks so damned good.


9. Alien VS Predator 3 - I love the Alien and the Predator series, how can i not check this out.

10. Resident Evil: Dark Side Chronicles - It's a part of the RE canon and looks alright, i should get it.
