And your point? Just because it was announced less than 3 months ago doesn't mean they haven't been working on it before they announced it. When DSC was announced, we got the first trailer and images pretty quickly. We've seen nothing from RE Portable since it was announced. It would be nice to have an idea of what the damn game is going to look like.Originally posted by Carnivol View PostLess than 3 monthsLast edited by RetroRain; 08-28-2009, 05:44 PM.

The game was pretty much about as much "announced" as it was just briefly "mentioned by name" at Sony's presentation.Originally posted by Logical Operand View PostAnd your point?
Resident Evil 4, ignoring its DMC incarnation, was announced in 2001, and we pretty much didn't see anything from it until the first trailer at TGS in 2002.
Not saying it's impossible that there'll be some news, but it's highly likely that Sony were just digging for "whatever they could find" to make sure they had something to mention as being "in development" for their platform(s) at their press conference, and that this game is still so early in development, that even with a tentative release date of "TBA 2010", it's only a few months into development and far from being anything mention worthy. Assuming it's an original title and not just a recap/port of sorts, it certainly also does not have the benefits of the likes of Darkside Chronicles, which already had both the gameplay and majority of the scenario side of things done already, so even if announced early in development, tossing together a teaser/preview somewhat reflecting the final product wouldn't have required too much work to begin with. (Of course, there were rumors ages ago of a PSP title, along with the Devil May Cry title that was more or less said to be dead, so it may have been in R&D for half-an-eternity and finally starting to become something...)

Is that right? Seems like the gap was a lot longer. Maybe because of the various versions they went through.Originally posted by Carnivol View PostResident Evil 4, ignoring its DMC incarnation, was announced in 2001, and we pretty much didn't see anything from it until the first trailer at TGS in 2002.

Capcom announced a pile of games around the time they announced the whole Capcom/Nintendo thing and the whole Capcom Five project thing was going.Originally posted by rewak View PostIs that right? Seems like the gap was a lot longer. Maybe because of the various versions they went through.
Resident Evil 4 crawled out of its cave once per year to show its new fur coat after that

Oh yeah the Capcom Five, that turned into the Capcom Four, i remember now
I kinda wish they would go back to being that ambitious with things, only getting it right this time. It all seems dull lately on the video games front, nothings daring to be different.

If this is true then. . .hell yeah! MML 3 is LONG overdue. I still haven't played the second one(though I have it) and I heard it ended on a cliffhanger. Whatever it is, it doesn't deserve not be answered. It's been almost ten years! Come on Inafune, we want more of the best damn Mega Man game there ever was.Originally posted by Rock it.
