Looks cool, but still pissed over the clusterf*ck that was BioWares handling over of the Return to Ostagar boondoggle, has the update even been re-released/fixed yet?
I didn't even get to try it *was re-rolling* then it got pulled from XBL.

Sorry for the double post but since DAO-A is coming out in 2 days I figured this thread needed to be bumped.
I've been playing DAO for the past week and I found out today about the Starfang sword. Did anyone else know about this? I read about it on the DA wiki and this is actually the best sword in the game (I thought the Keening Blade or Duncans sword was).
Starfang is a unique untiered weapon that requires the Warden's Keep DLC. Also Starfang is stronger than a Tier 7 Longsword which probably means the Starfang would be a Tier 8.
Starfang is obtained by bringing the Meteor Metal Ore to Mikhael Dryden in Soldier's Peak after completing the Warden's Keep questline. After receiving the meteorite fragment, a special line of dialogue will open up with the weaponsmith, allowing you to create a new weapon from the fragment. You are given the choice of making either a one-handed longsword or a two-handed greatsword. Choose carefully, as there is only enough ore for one weapon! The easy way to get the Ore is travel between Honneleth and Flemeth's Hut.
Longsword.
Spoiler:
Greatsword
Spoiler:
I picked the longsword so I can have it and my Dragonbone shield equiped.
I think I have the best stuff in the game (or I'm pretty damn close)
I'm equiped with: Helm of the Legion, Gray Warden Commander armor (full chest plate, boots and gloves) Dragonbone shield and the Starfang sword with grandmaster flame, frost and lightning runes.
Alistair is using Calins armor with Duncan's sword with runes in it aswell.

Yeah I got Starfang relatively early on in my first run through so ended up sticking with it for most the game, sadly the game is lacking in general loot.
Replaying it on the PC now as I want to get Awakening on that as opposed to the 360.

DAO:A is really good for just and expansion. There is one bug though that is pissing me off.
The Sentinel Armor is bugged. Instead of the black and red armor skin, the player will appear to be wearing a set of Grey Warden Commander armor, from the Warden's Peak DLC. This only happens when the armor is worn by a human, as the armor is displayed correctly on a dwarf or elf character.
The only piece that is bugged is go figure the most important part of the armor. The chest piece. It looks so bad ass lol.

Rise from your grave, thread. RISE AND CONSUME THE LIVING!
So...who wants to play as Darkspawn? Dark wants to play as Darkspawn!

PS3 will be getting Darkspawn Chronicles tonight and a new patch as well.
EDIT: It's now 5:05pm (central time) and the Darkspawn Chronicles is now up in the PSN store. Downloading it now.
EDIT 2: So much for fixing crashes. Mine just froze.Last edited by nemesiswontdie; 05-18-2010, 05:58 PM.

Just got myself a copy of Dragon Age: Origins for £12.99 at Zavvi (some deal of the day thing) and grabbed Awakening from Play.com for £14.99 (Hey! That's nearly half the PSN/LIVE price!). Got all the DLC grabbed too and just waiting for my Awakening disc to arrive... then I think I might dive in.
And, oh, the Stone Prisoner code still worked in my new copy of the game, even though it said it'd expire in April 2010... Hipp hipp hurray!
