A nice in depth look at the final retail PS3

Available on the market? The PS3 market? Normal PC market? Sony decieves by leaving out key parts, so when it does come time, they just reexplain themselves. Oh well, as long as they dont pull the "Disappear Press Release because we forgot to release the software for the HDD" thing again

The SCE president also told the crowd that the PS3 would use a 60GB 2.5-inch hard disc drive (HDD). A slide show during the presentation said the HDD would be loaded with the Linux operating system instead of Microsoft's Windows OS. The show also said it could be used as a "home server," could be directly connected to the Internet, and would be fully "upgradable."

If the HDD is to be loaded with a Linux operating system, how would you load it onto an unofficial HDD? I cant see many stores having a version of Linux on its shelf.
