  • Capcom and MS Readying New Title For the 360

January 21, 2010 - Just in case Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2 and Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition weren't enough, it seems that Xbox 360 owners have more to look forward to from Capcom.

The Japanese Xbox.com site is now teasing a Capcom Xbox 360 product unveil for January 26. The text at the site lists "Capcom X Microsoft" and "Capcom Title Premiere for Xbox 360."

It looks like 360 owners can look forward to the announcement of a new Capcom Xbox 360 title, and possibly an exclusive one at that.

Speculate on the identity of the game in the comments section, and be sure and check back next week!

A fighting game featuring Capcom characters vs Microsoft employees?
The final Boss fight against Bill Gates (or Master Chief).

That's probably the new Natal title that was announced some time ago.

Nah, this looks like it'll be an X-box exclusive, and that means it's likely to be a smaller game. If for no other reason than the 360 isn't very big in Japan, and that's an important market to Capcom.

Capcom have had a lot of 360 love.

              Dead Rising.
              Timed exclusive Lost Planet.
              Exclusive Lost Planet Colonies.
              DMC4 + RE5 going multi.

So... timed exclusive, natal, or something else that's curiously interestingly exclusive... Saw someone suggest Capcom developed Killer Instinct, but that'd be odd seeing that Japan is first to touch it (Killer Instinct wasn't big in Asia, iirc). Anyway, SFIV supposedly will have an announcement on the same day... maybe connected?

Anyway, let's entertain the concept of a Japan Exclusive 360 port of God of War III

Doesn't have to be a timed exclusive, they pulled this same stunt with Lost Planet 2 as well.

Whelp .. DC3 was exclusive to the Xbox .... would it be that surprising if a potential DC4 is too ? (timed at least)

This image popped up on the Japanese Xbox site yesterday. We can't tell you about all the delicious secrets that will be unveiled at this event, but we can hint that some of the news will be of interest to a global gamer audience. We'll have a lot more information for you first thing in the morning on Tuesday, January 26.

I'm hoping for Dino Crisis or an Outbreak game.

I would rather have outbreak on Xbox live than PSN.
