Well fighting games were dead untill 2008 with the release of SF4 and thanks to that we have MvC3 now.

So if they make another version of MvC3 after Ultimate i will buy it.

Hell im getting the PS3 and Vita versions of UMvC3.

The Tekken series was just getting worse since T3, Tekken Tag perhaps being the only exception.
Street Fighter damn near killed itself with the SFIII series going too technical, dumping all the loved characters and replacing them with retarded designs.
Mortal Kombat decided it would make up for its problems by throwing more characters into every game and nothing else.
MvC2 wasn't like by many outside of the tourny scene for being so broken.
Killer Instinct died.

Soul Calibur 2 was actually good, but then SC3 happened...

I'm giving UMvC3 a miss, I can't justify a purchase.

Rightfully so. I'll probably pick it up at some point just for the associated RE characters/level(the same reason I bought MVC 2 years ago), and also because I never bought the regular MVC3. I'll be waiting for the bargain bin though, too many other games I want coming out within the next four months, like AC3, Skyrim, ORC, UFC3...ugh.

Here here! After getting away from the intoxicating drug that is MvC3--I have no desire to let Capcom bend me over and screw me with this Ultimate BS. This SHOULD BE a $20 DLC. Why the fuck do I need to buy the game again in less than 9 months? I'll eventually pick it up. . .when it's super cheap, and used(so Capcom doesn't get any profit from it). Besides that, I really don't like the menus and remixed themes. Really, really lame.

The only problem for you, Mr. Spencer, is you traded your copy in! Hey man! I thought you only traded in games you didn't play? Who's Iron Man and Doctor Doom am I supposed to take on now?

After not gaming so long due to my PS3 getting a YLOD and when I got a new one my net soon decided to crap out to unplaybale speed (now fixed) I plan on getting back into the Street Fighter and MvC3 games after the weekend.

I have all versions of SSFIV if someone wants some friendly matches. No turtles. Is boring and putting all the work on the other guy.

Mortal Kombat: Deception did pretty well. it didn't just throw characters in the game, it also added an adventure mode with a decent story. Got "Best Fighting Game" too.
