Producers say the kills will be “in the double digits”, and that there will be “tons” of “drinking, smoking weed and having sex”.
They're doing a really good job at marketing this to the MTV demographic it seems. =P

Well, to be fair, that was what Friday the 13th was about. Somehow I suspect it'll be overdone, though. Like that hideous book based on Jason In Space one. Jason doesn't even show up for most of it, and for some reason reason (I'm not kidding) they have zombie pornstars killing, eating and banging people. In that order.

its only because Rob Zombie remade Halloween that now there has to be another remake of Friday the 13th...might as well make another freddy vs jason, or Jason X in space...

I doubt its because of Rob Zombie's remake. They had been remaking other classics for a while now...and ruining them too I might add. I don't think I've liked a single remake of a classic horror flick. I'm really wondering when they'll remake Child's Play or It. It'll probably happen soon enough.

            I'm generally 'Anti-Remake'
Leave the classics alone and make something new, I say.
However, I did enjoy the Chainsaw remake and the sequel and prequel. Hills Have Eyes was okay too, IMO.
            REmake was great.
But the Dawn of the Dead remake was completely unnecessary. I liked the original a lot more (one of my favorite films ever). I always get nervous when I hear about something I loved getting 'modernized'. "Just leave it be!".
Friday the 13th has already had 9(?) sequels, so why not just make another one? Jason only has a cameo as a young boy in it anyway, so I really don't see the point, unless they intend to change and f**k up the whole story.

Btw, at the risk of losing any respect I may have... I quite liked JasonX
I thought it was stupid but very entertaining. I've got it on dvd and I've watched it about 6 times. It's got some great kills in it and I liked how Jason is just an unstoppable monster (like the Nemesis).

Best quote: "Guys it's okay! He just wanted his machete back!"

Even 'Jason Takes Manhattan' was quite entertaining... Don't get me wrong, I liked the earlier films too.

I heard about this and all I can say is no..... originals are classics, why remake a classic that is going to be crap? I also heard also their remaking a nightmare on elmstreet, great go and ruin some classic horror movies I will deffo not be seeing this one.

MTV messing with this are bad news, anyways i think they overused Jason with so many sequels IMO.

With all respect miss Mist: Good and bad movies are in the eyes of the beholder. So I watch alot of good movies. And thanx Markgras. Part Six did kick ass. My only problem with it was that unlike the other Jason movies, It didn't show the first set of boobs.

Anyways. Jason X rules. Jason takes Manhatten kix ass, Jason Vs Freddy was just bad ass. But to me it goes back to the guy playing Jason. I thought Kane did a good job in Jason X and Manhatten (that whole breathing he does) but my favorite is the guy that played Jason in part 6. He did the best job.
The only Jason movie I honestly hate was Jason Goes to Hell. It was just sad. I think it goes back to Paramount selling the series to Newline Cenima is where things went wrong.

Anyways. I am ant-remake myself. In my view The Dawn of The Dead remake just ripped off 28 Days Later. I liked the original Dawn of the Dead alot more. Infact the only remake I really enjoy is The Hills have eyes remake. Don't get me wrong, the first was good too.

                    I love Jason X.

My fav part has to be the part where he kills that team of Marines one at a time.

"Don't worry, he's not going no-where" *SLASH!* "AHHHHH!"
