I love Cowboy Bebop... Even if it IS just Lupin in space. Between the awesome Yoko Kanno music and the equally awesome voice cast (in the Japanese anyway), you've got yourself a recipe for liquid awesome.

As for Dragonball's excruciatingly long power-up scenes; They don't exist in the comic. I love the cast and the music (again, the Japanese), but find it so hard to watch a lot of it because of all of the filler they added in. The comic is actually very fast-paced.

^ One of the greatest endings ever lol. Although I can see how it would confuse many fans as to if he's dead or not, but I'm pretty sure he's dead

Well, it was one of the first animes I watched...at I think 13. Everyone assumed that cartoons were for kids. I saw someone raped to death and torn in half, another character repeatedly raped by a demon, a couple of high school kids having sex, some incestuous elves...and keep in mind that I saw the edited version. I've never even watched the unedited version, I just use it to crush the minds and souls of others.

I laugh so hard when people tell me that, then lend them a copy of Urotsukidōji with instruction to never, ever allow it near kids. Ever. It usually convinces people otherwise...and that I'm a sick ass who watches animated porn.

Ah, destroying the minds of others. Good times.

Lol, I got confused because Cowboy Bebop also has 26 episodes(guess it's a good number to end on). As far as the above qoute, I know it's ridiculous, I mean Cowboy Bebop is one of the deepest series I've ever seen. I guarantee you that some anime series have more meaning and thought behind them than many of the mindless tv shows people watch these days.

I think that Darkmoon was refering to Evangelion and not Cowboy Bebop ;). And I agree that both two last episodes of the TV series and the movie left me with a big "what the hell" on my mouth. It was so weird...

Well many people think that the movie was the actual end to the series because of the title "knockin' on heaven's door", but that whole movie actually takes place between episodes 22 and 23, just a few episodes before the end of the series. This revelation was heart breaking to many including myself, because that means thatSpoiler:
Why did this movie take place then? I guess because people wanted to see one last adventure of the Bebop and it's misfit heroes. Unfortunately, my first encounter with Evangelion was actually the movie!

As far as anime goes, Bebop, Gungrave, Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell (TV series, not that pretentious movie) and Berserk are the only ones I have ever liked, hated the rest I've watched.

Can someone fill me in on Evangelion. What is it, a movie or a TV series?

Evangelion is mindfuckery, that masturbation scene still haunts me even to this day.

Well, as to Evangelion, I think I like it mostly for two reasons. One is I enjoy mind fuckery and Evangelion is mind fuckery at it's finest. The second is it's the first anime I ever saw in it's entirety and it's sorta stuck with me. See: avatar.

But Keanu Reeves as Spike? Whose Jet? Samuel L Jackson?

I used to watch this show when a girl I liked told me it was her favorite show evar...and shortly after, I stopped talking to her altogether so I stopped watching the show just as quickly. As for a movie? Any anime that goes live action has to be considered a failure until proven otherwise.

    And Keanu Reeves...lol...lol...wow.
