I will never watch Twilight, ever. It's probably a good film like you say, but If I watch a movie about vampires, I'm watching it for the vampires lol. My girlfriend read the book, and I don't dig sparkling vampires too much

I've seen the book in Waterstones a few times, but never had the money to buy it so I may just see the film instead.
And Twilight is a good film, but if you watch it for the Vampires you'll be disappointed.

I still haven't seen Twilight and probably won't. I love vampire movies, but that looks ass.

I absolutely loved this movie. The relationship between Eli and Oskar is just so innocent and pure, and I love watching those two little actors together in the movie. They are amazing. The actress who played Eli was particularly talented. It was great seeing her go back and forth from a horrific killer to a seemingly ordinary child.
I bought the book a few weeks ago, but haven't had time to read it yet. I'm looking forward to it, however. I'm sure it will be a wonderful read, and I'm especially eager to read a narrative that delves deeper into the spoiler you mentioned.Originally posted by REmaster View PostI love "Let the right one in". It's a very original and sometimes dark vampire flick, while at the same time being a sweet story of love and friendship. It pisses me off though that Hollywood is remaking this movie. I fear that they're going to take this awesome Swedish film and try to turn it into another Twilight type story. Spoiler:
For those of you who may be confused, the girl vampire Eli is actually a boy who had his genitals removed (they go more into that in the book). I'm almost certain that when it's remade in the U.S they will change the character to a regular girl so that it will be a more "normal" love story...bullshit.>
Best to just ignore any developments about the American remake. I won't be seeing it, nor will I pay attention to anything having to do with it.

Yea, Twilight wasn't the WORST I've ever seen, it's just...so overrated by my peers right now. Maybe I'm just a lil biased towards it.Originally posted by aris13 View PostI've seen the film last month and it was surprisingly good and shocking and I don't think that Twilight was crap, it was decent.

^ The books were a whoooole lot worse than the movie.
The movie took out a lot of Bella's whining...but still. Sparkling vampires? C'mon, now...xD
