I never really followed a religion...I kinda see religion as guide line for people to live their own lives...sometimes it get's in the way...

I take no insult, and yes I agree. I don't think any belief system should be ridiculed, as all of them contain aspects that can be considered 'unbelievable'. I haven't heard anything about Pastafarianism in a long time though.

I ask because because I see people make fun of it the time, all while they believe in an invisible man in the sky.(Keep in mind I also believe in God, I'm not insulting.)

This is good advice! Kudos to you and the rest of the staff!

A nice debate without argument sounds nice. I personally don't mind any religion as long as it isn't forced on myself. I think its important for everyone to explore different spiritual avenues and then choose what is best for themselves as an individual.

No, I don't. But it is an interesting concept...I don't know what made Spaghetti the pasta of choice or what made it divine, but its something to casually contemplate for the fun of it.

I have a few times. But it requires people who can act like adults and disagree with each other without getting angry. I have definite doubts we'll manage it here, but we can try.

    Meh!

But to be honest, I have never seen a religion thread that has not been locked in a forum -_-

It should work, if we're all mature, sensible people.

...hahahahahaha! Oh man, that was a good one. Sensible people!

In the mean time, though, feel free to talk about it. See if you can surprise me.

But yes, I'm religious. Life is strange sometimes. Didn't use to be I was convinced otherwise a few years ago.

I have no religion. But I do believe in a god. As to why I don't follow a religion, I shall refrain from that as it might start some shit.

Search: It's a friendly little tool. Please, introduce yourself to it. It's nice, and shows a varied amount of things.

On topic: Religion discussions will always end in debates, even with mature people. Debates are not necessarily bad things, however, they end up that way when immature people without proper information try to argue.

Religion threads tend to some users debating on whats the better one blah! blah! blah!

I've read too much of it. Well I'm Roman Catholic.

Hey there is nothing wrong with a religion thread. If all of you are mature about it, there is no need to worry about arguments or issues. It is an interesting topic, I used to be a Christian, was raised Baptist, and then turned into basically an agnostic. I lean more towards old agricultural/pagan religious ideas and Norse concepts.
