Haha, yeah it is good to keep a static emotion if your aim is to bluff (or in general).

I do that sometimes. I'd taunt people by making high calls and making them go all-in, then I gently fold and let them fight each other. This is of course not always recommendable, because you want to gain some chips eventually and you should not continually fold.

Apparently, I'm very good at bluffing. Because no matter what hand I get I just grin like the Chesire Cat and it creeps people out.

started a topic Texas Hold 'em

    Texas Hold 'em

I thought I would make a thread about... poker! I am wondering if there are any poker fans here? Specifically Texas Hold 'em. Personally, I love Texas Hold 'em. As I expressed in a thread, I play it occasionally in small tournaments at campus. No real money involved, though we play for prizes.

For those that do not know this game, I refer to the following link on wikipedia:

I got this hand at the final table last Tuesday:

    Spoiler:

Played strategically and on the river card I went all-in with the pocket Kings. Unfortunately, the chip leader didn't fall for it and he fold his hand. I came in 3rd place in the tournament.

So if you are a poker player, what are your thoughts on this game? Tactics, strategies etc.?
