I'm not dissing Ito, I'm just saying to Inferno as I usually say to her - they aren't THAT scary. Note that I didn't say 'crap' or anything to the regard of what would be considered 'dissing', simply reminding Inferno of what I usually tell her when she brings up Ito or two of his works - specifically, Uzumaki and The Enigma of Amigara Fault as I've been able to freak her out by going "DRR DRR DRR" in a weird voice in the past.

So more or less, bit of an in-joke. She knows I could certainly link her to a lot worse that I've previously mentioned to her.

But the factor remains, I actually happen to like Ito's works, but do I find them scary? Not really.
Do I find this Korean comic scary? Not really, I find it amusing and I find the other reactions' to it amusing as well.

I know there's other psychological horror manga out there and some get close to the point of guro (or even a decent amount of the guro ones themselves), so I certainly know there's much worse things to read than Ito or this Korean short... Which is why I had a good laugh at the various reactions.

(I could list some, but I'd rather not be the one getting the blame for linking to mature content or it's either too scary or sickening for them to read through).

You find nothing scary, that's the issue xD Where's a point of reference?

It's stuff is body horror at worst but gets to me on a mental level, much as I find thriller an suspence movies far more disturbing than guro. You look at Long Dream and tell me that is not one of the scariest situations, despite having no gore. Others like The House of Puppets and Town Without Streets are interesting character/paranoia studies. I like when Ito makes a story set around a phobia, those usually shine through as the best. (And I'm rambling on, I should stop. ><)

I was just going to post the DRR DRR DRR guy ;_;. But yeah I agree. When the first 'creepy' moment happened, I actually giggled. Not really scary at all. Kinda like if you watched the first few Slender Man videos. Creepy at first, but later they turn into Blair Witch Project type deal. Some are still intersting to watch, but then...you're only doing it to see what happens.

Edit: Upon second viewing, now with knowing what will happen, it was pretty cool. Clean, and the animation makes it pretty chilling. Also rather Junji Ito-esque, a horror (manga) author whom I adore.

Ito's ones aren't really that scary, there's a lot more out there but then they get a bit more towards guro...

I don't really feel that this one was particularly scary either.
