Ah man, this time back from the club - two vodka cokes, a few beers, some "spacewalk" shots... good stuff!
Today I'll dedicate to Muammar Gaddafi - may he rest in peace! Actually the only thing I find interesting about him is his sudden change from Arab nationalism to African unity (practically unheard of). I think this is what lead to his downfall and why the African leaders are quite silent over his death.

A bit off-topic, but mind if I ask you a question regarding EVE Online? I saw a commercial for it earlier this week and I could have sworn it looked like DUST 514, but was for EVE instead. Does that mean that ground-based FPS combat has been recently added to EVE (excluding the upcoming DUST 514 for consoles)?Originally posted by Scream View PostFission mailed.

Good question - unfortunately ground based FPS combat will probably never be added to EVE with the release of DUST 514 - DUST 514 is a planet-based FPS combat game based on the main EVE online server.. I'm not sure how it integrates with EVE Online exactly as planetary interaction is still in the development stages for EVE Online itself. CCP are waiting for the player-based economy to take over the NPC economy before implementing radical changes to the resource extraction/rights etc for individual planets, I reckon it will happen around the same time Dust 514 takes off...
I'm very skeptical of some of CCP's choices though, too much development for Dust 514 and World of Darkness (vampire MMO) and little for EVE.. they'll know where their bread is buttered soon enough..

Ah okay, thanks for the info. Sounds like the player based economy should be interesting. Almost reminds me of Shattered Galaxy. You ever play that game?Originally posted by Scream View PostGood question - unfortunately ground based FPS combat will probably never be added to EVE with the release of DUST 514 - DUST 514 is a planet-based FPS combat game based on the main EVE online server.. Well the player-based EVE Online economy is functioning of course, but there are certain items still made by NPCs which always sell for a lower-profit margin for whoever manufactures them, eventually everything will be done via players and the resources extracted from the planetary system/other resource areas. The idea with DUST 514 is that EVE Online players can hire Dust player to win control of the planet for them... an intriguing concept but not something a small developer can pull off I imagine..
Haven't played Shattered Galaxy unfortunately!

Oh well it's an MMORTS and free to play. It's pretty neat, but really hard: http://sgalaxy.com/Last edited by Ununoctium; 10-27-2011, 03:50 PM.Fission mailed.

Doesn't look bad - I can clearly see where they get their inspiration though
Currently my gaming time is limited to Eve though, got three accounts going now.. If anyone wants to sign up I can give you 250 mil through the buddy program, or you can be a bastard and sign up on your own and get nothing
