To me it is as much as work of art as it is a video game, so much so that I care more about how it looks on the screen than how it plays in my hands
That's a good point, I think the proto has more visual ambiance than the final game too. The blue lit entrance stands out. Personally, I've always been a house/decoration voyeur, I used to go into hotels as a kid and act like my parents had a room there just so I could look at the decoration and I love house swap shows. I even sometimes pretend to shop for houses just to see other people's homes. :> So seeing a new room in RE was a motivational factor to me compared to other games that were just rehashing textures and chair models ad nauseum.

Anyway, I don't care if people think it's a dull game or how it compares to RE2. It has everything I enjoy, plus more pretty rooms to discover and a few enemies that were taken out of the game entirely.

Ripping off Alone in The Dark 1 and 2 has never embarrassed the capcom producers, why would comparing the proto to the final product would? If they had any real "pride", the games wouldn't be so close to AiD 1 and 2. It's silly that they won't release a playable unfinished version of 1.5 for the hardcore fans.

I most looking forward to it as a classic game in the series. I like the newer games, but they aren't the same as the old ones.

If there's one thing we should all learn, it's that life's not fair. If life gives you lemons, at least be thankful it didn't give you shit.

BH1.5 is a "new" old game in the franchise. That alone warrants intense interest.

I'm sure the final game is better, but RE 1.5's first half at least means half of a "new" RE game in the classic style that I LOVE. SO YES I WANT TO PLAY IT, PLEASE!!!

Zero could be boring, sure. But it was just as slow and methodical as the others. Not much action in it (other than what you saw in the cutscenes).
I'm pretty sure we are gonna treat the release date of 1.5 as when it gets put up for download, not 1997

    1) i love beta games
    2) i love classic resident evil games
    3) i want to form my personal opinion about the quality of the game. I don't care if kamiya or the team thought that the game was bad.

    that's all.

News Bot, it sounds like in that interview he doesn't hate the game, and would rather it have had a different title. But on twitter he says its hell and he has no skill. Maybe its the language barrier.

When 1.5 goes out, all the fog of mystery built by those who dont want this to come public will disappear and their no-reason effort will mean nothing.

when 1.5 goes out, this would show Capcom that the fanbase CAN get what it deserves, despite they locking the amazing beta forever and making the public swallow their new nonsense games.

for me, hm, when 1.5 goes out, ill have the same feeling when i was 8, playing RE2 for the 1st time. as a hardcore fan of old RE, this has no value!
