Though Kamiya doesn't remember much and evidently didn't actually write 1.5 as we've heard before. Or at least not its scenario.

Saying I guess either means he doesn't really remember, or doesn't care enough to provide you with a real answer. Anytime someone asks him about 1.5 you get a snarky comment usually.

Meh, not necessarily. It depends on when his family immigrated from Italy, it was common practice for whole families to change their names upon reaching America. Five times out of ten they would change it to a name that sounded "American" so they could have a head start in the new world.

Besides, maybe his mothers Maiden name was Esposito or something. My wife has both Native American and Irish blood, and her maiden name was German in origin. Names aren't an especially good way to work out someone's family history nowadays.

I disagree. I don't know anyone that has the last name Kennedy, famous or not, that does not have any Irish in them. Unless they changed their name for some reason. But I think it shows how the person that wrote Leon's background didn't do a lot of research with Italian last names. Leon is an Italian name, short for Leonardo.

Agree. Kennedy doesn't exactly lend much credibility to an Italian background, but Leon's totally a shot in the right direction.

That is not the point. I thought Leon Kennedy was Irish, or half etc. Kennedy is an Irish name. When I read he is a descendant of Italian immigrants, I found it odd that he doesn't have an Italian last name. He should have been named Leon D'angelo or something similar. Video game characters history are not that deep, where they have a family tree. Usually, they have a short and simple history of their background. For a game character, the Capcom employee should have done their homework and researched correct last name to match the characters nationality.

As for Carnivol's hair joke, I don't get? If you look at the famous kennedy's in America, Most of the men had thick healthy looking hair. Stereotypes are usually not accurate. Each person should be judge individually rather than as a group.
