If you could provide more details (version of RE2 you have, operative system, video card) maybe it would be easier to figure out.

You need a certain player software from the game disc installed to your PC. I don't remember the name exactly, Intel video or something that starts with an "I", it's used by the game to play the FMVs. This is assuming your copy is the 1999 1st PC release for Win95.
